Your Baby's Ugly: Maximize the Value of Your Business or You'll Have Nothing to Sell
“This book helps you improve your business in eight key areas that will set you up for growth in revenue and profits today, not just for eventually selling your business. Focus on the present as shown, and you'll have more sales, more profit, and even more exit options.” —Chris Snider, CEO of Exit Planning Institute

“Those who operate their own company, firm, or practice typically plan for everything — except success. Too often, business owners focus only on generating an income from their operations; they fail to realize the real payoff comes from building an enterprise that has value beyond the income they earn annually. The result is a squandered opportunity to truly achieve the American Dream. If you're a business owner and you want to avoid that mistake, read this book. It could be the best book on entrepreneurship I've ever read. It presents a highly realistic view of operating a business and offers practical advice that can make the difference between you selling your business one day for massive amounts of money — or failing to get even a single offer. The sooner you read this in the life cycle of your enterprise, the better.” — Ric Edelman, Founder, Edelman Financial Engines

About the Author

Justin Goodbread, CFP® CEPA® CVGA®, is a motivated and ambitious entrepreneur, and a financial planner who makes God and family his priorities. Justin has always had a sound business mind, starting his first business at the age of sixteen. Since then, he has founded, developed, and sold three businesses for a profit and currently operates multiple businesses.

In 2009, Justin founded Heritage Investors to help individuals, business owners, and retirees attain their financial goals. Besides being a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, he holds an Associate's degree from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix. In addition, he has earned the Certified Exit Planning Advisor and the Certified Value Growth Advisor certifications.

Eleven years later, Justin has founded Heritage Business Advisors with the goal of helping business owners of all types realize their full potential. With expertise in business value growth, Justin helps his clients to grow their business into a valuable commodity that can be sold for a healthy profit.

When he is not working with clients or farming his own land, Justin goes on adventures with his wife, two sons, and daughter. He and his family enjoy exploring national historical sites, working on his farm, playing the piano and saxophone, eating pizza, and being active with the family's church life.
