Smart, witty, imaginative. The story moves fast enough to keep kids entertained, but still easy for them to follow. The overall message, I say, is that while Kansas is home to the pig, and there's no-place-like-home, the whole world is really your home. If you're friendly and kind. I like that the humble Midwestern farmers in here are NOT depicted as morons. Japan looks like an awesome place that kids will want to visit. And the artwork is some of the best I've seen in a children's book. The pic of Ziggy driving in a yellow Japanese taxi is something that will make you laugh out loud. GREAT BOOK! Heard there's going to be at least 2 more in the series.

Good depiction of Japan. Anyone who has been to Japan will know that most Japanese are extremely understanding of Americans who don't know much about their etiquette. Fun story with a nice message about there's no place like home. Superb illustrations!

Rebecca's book is an excellent first! Ziggy's adventures are relatable as she learns the value of friendship and family. The illustrations are gorgeous and tell the action perfectly. I'm sure many children will enjoy this book!
