I really enjoyed this book and the series so far. My biggest complaint is that I found it before all the books were done. Now I have to wait for each book to be written, edited, and then published. I'm disappointed the series isn't available in hardcover as my paperbacks wear out so quick.Highly recommend for fantasy readers. An all around good series.

Sword and magic saga chronicling the life of a warrior with doubts, failings and nobility. Enchanted armor and weapons, but rules and limits to the use of magic - with reincarnation possible as long as the mage has the deceased's head. This multi-book series is well thought out and planned, draws the reader into caring for the characters (pro and con), and is thoroughly enjoyable in books 1 - 4. Book 4.5 ("Thy Father s Shadow: The Sanctuary Series, Volume 4.5") is a shorter novel to fill in background on one of the main characters (a black knight) - and sadly, it doesn't live up to its much longer predecessors. (Book 4 was around 2200 pages on my Nook!)
