    Good for the beginner cook

This book may be helpful if your just starting out. It offers a decent range of advice for stocking your kitchen and grocery shopping. The receipes are pretty good and varied. What it really doesn't offer - if you're downsizing - are ways to cut recipes from 8 servings to one or two and not make yourself crazy in the process.
