I currently live in Northern California with my husband of 23 years and our crazy little cat, Locacita. I travel at least 6 weeks a year throughout Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean. Otherwise I work in a small Rehabilitation Hospital as a Physical Therapist. I specialize in Cognitive Disorders, Psychiatric Disorders, PTSD, Amputees, and general Geriatrics. I'm also a Clinical Instructor for externs in Physical Therapy programs.I love to work in my garden and to spend the afternoon wine tasting with my husband. For exercise I enjoy swimming laps at the local pool and going for early morning speed walks.Writing, traveling, and my patients are my passion.

    I loved this book!

    It was a fun read with lots of twists and turns. The characters were fun (or detestable!), but certainly interesting. The scenic descriptions were easy to picture in my mind's eye. The plot had me going from the beginning. I think this would make a great movie! Can't wait until Heidi's next book comes out.

    Great Read

    This was a wonderful well thought out book that had you guessing to the very end. I also loved the ending, most writers end their books when the plot is resolved but the author didnt do that. He gave the best ending of all. The best part this book was free, I would have paid for this novel.

    Page turner!!!!

    Awesome book. Could not put it down. Initially thought that 700+ pages intimidating but i read it in same amount of time as a 300 page book. Would make an EXCELLENT action movie with all the twists and turns and wondering who is good and who is bad. All around fantastically written. Can't believe it was free! Loved it!!!!

    Great read!

    This was a great read! Like others I looked at the 733 pages and thought it might be too much, but I found the pages flew by. Very enjoyable! Frightening premise, but that's fiction for you! Getting the reader to realize what could happen, and hope that it never does! I look forward to reading the sequel!!

    EXCELLENT!!! A MUST READ

    This book was the best free book I have read so far!. I can't wait to read the next book. This one was well worth reading. I couldn't put it down. I would HIGHLY RECOMMENT THIS BOOK TO ANYONE!!!!!!!!

    Good read

    Very interesting plot and lots of action. The story and characters held my interest throughout. A 4 star adventure-romance, but needed some fine tuning from a good editor.

    Great book

    Loved the characters and their enjoyable personalities. The book kept my attention the whole way through and ended wonderfully. Will be looking for other books from this author.

    I am about halfway through this book and while its a pretty good

    I am about halfway through this book and while its a pretty good plot, I feel like the book is not as well written as I would like. The words get redundant sometimes ("adorable" comes to mind), they often seem trite, with a somewhat restricted vocabulary, and there are a few wrong details in the book. (For instance she prescribes antibiotics for a virus????) I feel like the writing style is a bit too simplistic. The plot itself has good thought to it, and would be an excellent book if the reading level were to go up a few notches. I do plan on finishing it....and can't complain too much since it was free....but not really as impressed as I thought I would be from the other reviews.

    Fun

    This was a very enjoyable book! When I get a free book I always wonder if it will be any good. You know, sometimes you do get what you pay for. But this is a really good book. Try it ... you will like it!
