    Hold on for the ride

Bram does it again. I only recently found Bram when I purchased 'The Notorious Dr. August' and decided that he deserved much more attention from me. 'Hold Tight' was a gripping story from page one. It showed how the American Military mistreated homosexuals in the 40's and that resonates in the readers mind here in the new millenium. The gay brothel is, for a lack of better words, a fun place and the men that work there are absolutely wonderful. Juke, a young black boy, is such a great character that you become attached to him instantly. His 'oh girl' comments and other 'queeny' statements are hilarious and after one chapter of him you really love him. The story as a whole is very gripping and I would have read it all in one sitting if my job wouldn't have interupted me so rudely. So do yourself a favor and buy this book and discover Bram if you haven't already.
