Would you believe that a cold-hearted killer could turn out to be prince charming. Mike Black known as Vicious Black in the streets because of his past becomes legit and leaving the dangerous life behind opens up a supper club called Cuisine. He becomes intrigued with the very smart and beautiful Cassandra Sims aka Shy, even though he is not impressed with her line of work. When her life is threatened and almost taken away Black comes to her rescue and becomes her knight in shining armor. This begins the romance of Black and Cassandra, meanwhile trying to find the culprit who is responsible for putting her in harms way. Is It A Crime is a fast paced urban read. I enjoyed the courtship that spark between Black and Cassandra. The love between the two was very believable and men nowadays need to wake up and take notes from Mr. Black. Definitely will be reading more by Mr. Glenn. Tangerine, Reader's Paradise Book Club

very good story! full of suspense, not drawn out. Needs to be made into a movie! Needs also to be edited.

Very exciting and stimulating!! Is It A Crime is not your 'typical' book. It deals with 'atypical' or non-traditional lifestyles, which makes it very fascinating. The characters are three-dimensional; the author explored the depths of their feelings--love/lust, envy, anger, greed, and other 'seven deadly sins.' I'm looking forward to the movie!

Is It A Crime was an exciting adventure for me. As I read this story, I was captured from the first page. My life blended with the characters. I felt their emotions. Is It A Crime was very realistic. I could not gotten any closer if I actually was part of the drug dealer lifestyle. It was thug life accented with style and class. Mr. Glenn has the ability to usher the reader into the storyline with characters you can actually see, feel and taste. They are armed to have you cracking up one minute and ready to give a royal beat down in the next moment. It is then you return to your senses and realize that you've been caught up in an outstanding plot. I'm very impressed with the relationships that Mr. Glenn was successful in creating. Everyone had an agenda and a purpose for existing. I felt like I was a Cassandra 'Shy' Sims looking for my very own sexy Mike Black. If you want a 'Total Package' reading experience, this is the one, you won't be disappointed. Alecia Goodlow-Young

When I began reading this book, I was catch up almost immediately by the realism and intensity of the characters. I found the story line to be a fast pace exciting read with enough romance and mystery to keep the story tight and flowing. One page forced me to read the next. I was so into it that I began to feel as if I knew Shy. And loved her. It really is a different type of love story as the author promised. Escapist entertainment of the highest order. One thing is for sure, on that day when they ask, 'What did you do? How did you put it down?' This brother will be able to say, 'I was real about it!'

It's not everyday that I write into an on-line Bookstore to give my opinion, but I couldn't resist. I was given this book by a co-worker a few months ago. I never had the time to read it until now. As an African American I found this sort of book to be a disgrace. We need to have positive characters, and not the likes of the people who dominated this novel. I realize it's only a book, but we all, including Mr. Glenn need to take some responsibility for what's written about us, and for us. No I do not and will not recommend this book to anyone.

I found the character development strong, but the stroy line weak. In time Roy Glenn may have a writing career.....one day.

This book is one of the most exciting books that I have read all year. If you are into the more modern type of gangster, turn neighborhood hero, add this book to your collection. I look forward to a very enjoyable future with the roy glenn novels.

Reading 'Is It A Crime' Started me on an endless journey in hopes of finding a clone of my own 'Vicious Black'. The author uses such detail in character description that no matter what Mike's past was, he's emerges into the perfect romantic leading man. Way to go 'Shy', I envy you.

I found this book to be very dated. The characters are straight from a bad 'B' movie. The story line has no surprises, it follows a formula that has been done over and over again. The author should not read anymore gangster novels. The next time the author should spend some money and have the book edited.

Roy introduces us to Mike Black, and takes the reader on a exciting, fast paced journey. Mike is passionate, romantic, and vicious. What a combination. He was a different king of hero, and this was a different type of love story. The characters come alive and jump off the pages. I enjoyed this book very much, you have to read it.
