    Enjoyable

Would you believe that a cold-hearted killer could turn out to be prince charming. Mike Black known as Vicious Black in the streets because of his past becomes legit and leaving the dangerous life behind opens up a supper club called Cuisine. He becomes intrigued with the very smart and beautiful Cassandra Sims aka Shy, even though he is not impressed with her line of work. When her life is threatened and almost taken away Black comes to her rescue and becomes her knight in shining armor. This begins the romance of Black and Cassandra, meanwhile trying to find the culprit who is responsible for putting her in harms way. Is It A Crime is a fast paced urban read. I enjoyed the courtship that spark between Black and Cassandra. The love between the two was very believable and men nowadays need to wake up and take notes from Mr. Black. Definitely will be reading more by Mr. Glenn. Tangerine, Reader's Paradise Book Club

This is one crazy book, but like another reviewer said, its a classic. The book is filled with many genres like tradegy, comedy, drama and mystery. I love it all so I would recommend it to anyone.

    Good Book! Well Written

I just finished the book and it was well written. I felt like I knew them personally. I thought the book should have had a better ending. It was suspenseful throughout and then it just ended.

A tale to tell that's told

Let me just get this out in the open now 'The 95-96 Chicago Bulls are THE GREATEST NBA TEAM EVER!' No need for a discussion there.
I had to ask when this was taking place? 1996. So I'm like 8 years late reading this. So maybe times have changed.
FINALLY someone would capture the reality of a WOMAN in this doggie dog world. One that didn't rely on her womanly ways to bait a man, and DAMN sho' didn't need a man to bail her out. If it's bodies to bag, then get it done! Don't cry about it be about it! I mean Cassandra Sims a.k.a Shy, a descendant of Chi-town she'd put the game on the map and let them know. Check my stats, I'm all balls! NO! Not this book, and NOT this girl. Shy with her dual degrees in management and marketing should have stuck to the books or waiting tables. This fake drug dealer who came across more as a stranded damsel couldn't sense the deception from her own crew, so how would she be able to keep her game going?
ENTER VICIOUS BLACK! World-renowned killer I mean every SHE-Hustla needs a gallant killer to step in and clean up what she messed up doesn't she?
Can you explain to me how a man can earn the tag as VICIOUS... yet he lets the entire world know where he is? Who he's with? And where he rest his head? 'Real bad boys move in silence......'
I mean I'm reading this and I'm like come on in the streets this man is VICIOUS! The mere mention of him and his associates is suppose strike fear in your heart....PLEASE!
    GET OUTTA HERE!
At best this is a clumsy boy meets girl book that has too many clichés.
'The club is dark, filled with smoke, and crowded. They spot one another from across the room, her guys notice his guys and step to them. Instead she dismisses the boiling drama only to go back the next day where they are formally introduced. Shy meets Mr. Black; that's Mike Black. He saves her life, and...and...'I loved you from the very first moment I saw those eyes.' Our Vicious hero says to Cassandra, our damsel in distress. 'So do I!' The mere weakling says as she tries to express herself. 'Baby, it's not because you've saved me so many times, and I'm just a defenseless fake hustler who loves to eat it's just because!' They kiss hard on the mouth and make meaningless love over and over again as the bad guys are killed and they along with their friends and families live happily ever after.' After all they're billionaires. Do you hear PRINCE as the scene fades .....I WOULD DIE 4 U.....
Even with that said...I really like Roy Glenn. He seems to be an impeccable person that uses very interesting words in this street saga, and for those reasons I'd read other titles.

    Seven Deadly Sins

Very exciting and stimulating!! Is It A Crime is not your 'typical' book. It deals with 'atypical' or non-traditional lifestyles, which makes it very fascinating. The characters are three-dimensional; the author explored the depths of their feelings--love/lust, envy, anger, greed, and other 'seven deadly sins.' I'm looking forward to the movie!

It would be a crime if you let this book get pass you...

Is It A Crime was an exciting adventure for me. As I read this story, I was captured from the first page. My life blended with the characters. I felt their emotions. Is It A Crime was very realistic. I could not gotten any closer if I actually was part of the drug dealer lifestyle. It was thug life accented with style and class. Mr. Glenn has the ability to usher the reader into the storyline with characters you can actually see, feel and taste. They are armed to have you cracking up one minute and ready to give a royal beat down in the next moment. It is then you return to your senses and realize that you've been caught up in an outstanding plot. I'm very impressed with the relationships that Mr. Glenn was successful in creating. Everyone had an agenda and a purpose for existing. I felt like I was a Cassandra 'Shy' Sims looking for my very own sexy Mike Black. If you want a 'Total Package' reading experience, this is the one, you won't be disappointed. Alecia Goodlow-Young

Player Haters can't fade this one!

When I began reading this book, I was catch up almost immediately by the realism and intensity of the characters. I found the story line to be a fast pace exciting read with enough romance and mystery to keep the story tight and flowing. One page forced me to read the next. I was so into it that I began to feel as if I knew Shy. And loved her. It really is a different type of love story as the author promised. Escapist entertainment of the highest order. One thing is for sure, on that day when they ask, 'What did you do? How did you put it down?' This brother will be able to say, 'I was real about it!'
