This book changed my life and my cooking. When I got married I could not make white rice and now I cook great Cuban food. Even my mother and mother-in-law love my cooking. My husbands happy, my kids are happy and that makes me happy. I loved it so much I have been giving it to my friends, who all love it too. I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to cook really good, really easy Cuban food!

I too grew up in Miami in a cuban household with cuban cooking. It is great to have found a cuban cookbook that was written in english with recipes that are truly cuban. Most cuban cookbooks written in spanish tend to have terminology that is not clear and techniques that are difficult to follow.
The recipes in this book, are all the ones I remember from my childhood. The book is well written and easy to understand but more importantly, the recipes are easy to follow. The anecdotes that precede each recipe are not only humorous but are very relevant. My book was a gift but my family and friends could not be happier with it than I am.
