"...an excellent reference guide. It contains a number of checklist outlining the amount and variety of alcohol, food, glassware and linens needed for events such as a cocktail party for 10 people for three hours. The 52-page glossary includes sections on wine and wine styles, beer, cheese, herbs and spices, as well as basic cooking terms. There are decorating tips, event themes, background music suggestions, and even instructions on how to arrange for valet parking."
editorial board
The Guide to Ridiculously Easy Entertaining: Tips from Marfreless is much more than a compilation of party favorite appetizer, drink, and side dish recipes (such as Bacon & Tomato Tartlets, Super Bowl Punch, or Potatoes & Stilton Gratin). The majority of The Guide to Ridiculously Easy Entertaining lives up to its title in that it walks the reader through exactly how to plan and throw a gala social event....
"...bulging with advice on party-giving...there's plenty of sensible, less obvious information here that hosts will find handy."
Rosemary Black
"In a tone that is informative and reassuring...explains everything you need to know to throw a great bash...."
Teresa Byrne-Dodge
"...a guide for entertaining in the 21st century...lots of good party-food recipes, too."
