Dear Friend

A friendly exchange of anonymous letters between a young woman living in Virginia City, Nevada and a young civil war soldier from Ohio drastically changes the lives of both. The realistic story takes the reader back in time when distance and war appeared to be insurmountable obstructions to love. Amy Carlton struggles to find a way to contribute to the war effort, while her friend struggles to survive its horrors.
