Kyle Lindsay is a struggling freelance writer and typewriter enthusiast who wants to be a novelist. He hopes the typewriter of his dreams, a 1967 Hermes 3000, will inspire him to greatness. The typewriter he acquires, however, has other plans. It is possessed by "JK," a spirit whose goal is to rid the world of mediocre writers, and it is determined to make Kyle abandon his career and dream.
