About the Author

T Gephart is a USA Today and International bestselling author from Melbourne, Australia. With an approach to life that is somewhat unconventional, she prefers to fly by the seat of her pants rather than adhere to some rigid roadmap. Her lack of "plan" has resulted in a rather interesting and eclectic resume, which reads more like the fiction she writes than an actual employment history. She'd tell you all about it, but the statute of limitations hasn't expired yet. But all those crazy twists and turns have led her to a career she loves—writing romantic comedy. When she isn't filling pages with sassy and sexy characters with attitude, she's living her own reality show in the 'burbs of Melbourne with her American husband, two teenage children, and her fur child—Woodley. She loves adventure, to laugh, travel, and strives to live her life to the fullest.

4.5 stars Well it’s back with the Larssons and its Nick’s turn to fall in the love. Claire is a screenwriter who had been going through a bad patch, with inspiration nowhere to be seen she uses her secret crush Nick Larsson the star of a popular television series. Nick Larsson has always been someone that she has a crush on. So to get back in writing groove she has used Nick as her muse. So for fun she has been writing a series  about a couple called  Nick and Blaire and their exploits. Her roommates love it so much she often prints them a copy each. This is a fun read with plenty of characters I really loved, not just Nick and Claire. Claire’s roommates had me in stitches. This was a quick fun read with plenty of hot sex thrown in. I really fell for Nick he was a great bloke, I enjoyed every minute, sometimes you just need something to lighten your mood and #1 Muse certainly did that for me. I have loved this series so it was nice to catch up with some of the other Larssons in this book. Great read lots of fun.

I love T. Gephart's books and especially her rom-coms. She makes me laugh like no one else. And #1 Muse was not an exception. Though there are some more serious and a little bit heartbreaking moments, I would still classify the book as a rom-com. From the very first chapter, I had tears of laughter in my eyes and that practically didn't change until the end of the book. I loved the characters and especially Claire. She was a hoot and probably one of the craziest characters I've encountered. Definitely a close second after Tia. There is just no way beating Tia :D And it doesn't hurt that Nick is such a hottie :D As I already said, I loved Nick and Claire. Though both of them are crazy, Nick is more on the normal side :D Claire is another story altogether. I honestly have no idea where she comes up with such crazy ideas :D And as Nick says in the book, he has no idea what will come out of her mouth. In a way, that's what makes them work :) They are definitely made for each other. Though there are few bumps on the road, in the end things just work out :) In addition to Nick and Claire, I loved revisiting with old favorites. I mean, who would mind getting a cameo appearance from the Larson brothers :D But on top of that, I loved the other secondary characters as well. Luke and Scully are just as hilarious as Claire herself. And to be honest, I would really love to get my hands on Scully's story. Let's hope Tina is planning on writing it at some point :D In a few words, this was a super funny and entertaining read and I hotly recommend it. So don't waste any time and pick up your copy now. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I know when I get my hands on a T. Gephart novel, I’m in for a treat, and this one was no exception. It was a well-formed storyline with great characters!!! I just have to say Gephart has created some of the most memorable characters I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. I fell in love with Claire and Nick right from the start. What was so different for me is I was in love with Nick because of Claire, and I loved him more as I got to know him better. Claire was someone I could easily be friends with. She is sweet, funny, and very intelligent. She is loyal and loves those she cares about with a passion. Nick was very easy to relate to even if he is drop dead gorgeous and a successful actor. He was so incredibly supportive of Claire’s dreams. Who wouldn’t fall in love with someone like him? I also loved the fact that we all got to see the man Nick was, not the celebrity, right along with Claire. Gephart also gave her readers a great cast of secondary characters that made the story even better!!! As I wrote earlier, the storyline was fantastic! I loved the concept of Nick being Claire’s muse. The way she finally met him and got to know him was quite original. Sometimes in the romantic comedy genre, a lot of books meld together somewhat, and I have a hard time remembering the storyline. Not with T. Gephart, she has created an entire series I will never forget by going outside of the box creating original storylines and characters!!!!

#1 Muse by T. Gephart is the 5th standalone romance in her #1 Series . The books in the series have interconnecting characters but can be read as standalones. This is the 2nd book I have read from this author and I am absolutely enamored with this series already. The story was funny, sexy, witty and an absolute page-turner. Told in single POV from Claire's perspective, this was a fabulous read. Claire is a screen-writer with an obsession. What is the obsession you ask? Nick Larsson - Hollywood actor, and the man of her dreams and object of her fan-fic stories she writes on the side for her own enjoyment (and that of her two wonderful roommates). When one of the roommates decides to give Nick a copy of a story at a wrap party it's up to Claire to stealthily retrieve it from his home by whatever means necessary. He was NEVER supposed to read about "Nick & Blaire" and she is going to die from mortification if she doesn't retrieve it ASAP by whatever means necessary. Well-written and well-paced, laced with humor and sexy times, the story is lighthearted with just enough angst for a few stomach flips and to keep it interesting. I absolutely adored this story. Enjoy!

Claire is utterly adorable in the most awkward of ways; she has impulsivity problems as well as a nasty case of foot in mouth syndrome, altogether making for some very hilarious situations and even funnier inner monologues Claire is a screenwriter awaiting her big break in the uber-competitive Hollywood arena. Losing her mojo with each rejection, to keep her creativity flowing Claire is inspired to write fan-fiction about her celebrity crush, Nick Larsson. Only to have her well-meaning and heavily pregnant bestie gives a copy of her latest musings to the Larsson in question at a wrap-party. Cue Claire's over-reaction and subsequent actions without consideration leading her into an encounter with Nick she couldn't have imagined in her wildest dreams. So begins the most amazing relationship of Claire's life, the stuff dreams are made of, bringing positivity, luck and good fortune along the way. I adored how Claire bumbles along with her heart on her sleeve and her niggling conscientious controlling her mouth. Sass and sweetness dominate Claire's personality.  However, the cutthroat world of scripts, production and negotiation threaten to break the bonds Claire and Nick are beginning to form.  You can completely empathise with Claire facing life in the public eye having been behind the scenes her whole life, the judgement she has to endure as a result of Nick's fame. Claire is one of those people who doesn't realise how attractive they are, therefore, the negative comments about her image and charms take a toll on her self-confidence. Nick is so utterly swoony, you can't but give him a piece of your heart along with Claire. For someone as handsome, talented and famous as Nick, he is surprisingly down to earth. Keeping his feet planted firmly in reality along with his siblings, all power-players in their own right.  I loved how seamlessly Claire and Nick's lives meshed #1 Muse provides the opportunity to catch up with the previous characters in the series, updating their relationships along the way. The #1 series only gets better with each consecutive story - I am hoping some of the peripheral characters will have their own spin-off stories

#1 Muse is the 5th book in T. Gephart’s (#1 series), but can be read as a standalone (although I do recommend starting with the first book). Claire is a vivacious struggling screen-writer who has a slight obsession with hot actor, Nick. When she should be reviewing screenplays to keep herself employed, she in engages in writing fan fiction - loosely veiled fantasies that are about her and Nick. So what happens when her latest story lands in the hands of Nick? This book is fast-paced and very entertaining. Be prepared to laugh because Claire and her friends, Luke and Scully are hilarious and the messaging that occurs between Nick and Claire will have you chuckling. Claire is a fun character - she is quirky, has a good heart, and is very likable. Unlike many books that are about Hollywood actors, Nick is not your stereotypical playboy. He’s not looking for a serious relationship, but he also isn’t sleeping with anything that moves. He is hot, funny, and extremely caring towards Claire and her friends. The way they met was priceless! All in all, I felt that the premise was cute and funny. There was lots of humor, but also a few steamy scenes. The hero and heroine were well developed and likable as well as the secondary characters (seriously, I need friends like Luke and Scully!). #1 Muse moved at a good pace with no areas that dragged on. I also really enjoyed the epilogue. I received this book as an ARC and I voluntarily leave this review.
