100 Moments

100 Moments is a collection of 100 poems from the life of Seraphina Taylor. Each piece is an autobiographical vignette of her experience as a sensory being, travelling around Europe. The poems capture a literary impression of a specific scene or stimuli, and seem authored with such clarity of the senses, not yet muddied by memory, as to give the impression that Seraphina could draw together both the experience itself and its entrapment on the page, into simultaneity.

However, it can be assumed that her poems of a sensuous nature were written with more space between the inspiration and its poetic form. In many of these cases, a notebook on hand, in the moment, would presumably have been a hinderance to embracing the subject matter wholly.

Seraphina is an openly pansexual woman and features queer poetry in this collection. She neither hides, nor puts particular emphasis, on her sexuality. Instead, she offers an intimate, well-rounded and uncensored view into her love life.

This collection offers a wide range of topics, varying from the hilariously funny to the tender and profound. The common element featured in every poem is Seraphina's honest experience, as she lived, loved and wrote around Europe.
