In A CHARGE OF VALOR (Book #6 in the Sorcerer's Ring), Thor continues on his quest, deeper into the Empire, to retrieve the stolen Destiny Sword and save the Ring. As he and his friends meet unexpected tragedy and lose a member of their close-knit group, Thor and his remaining friends become closer than they ever were, learning that they must face and overcome adversity together. Their journey takes them to new and exotic terrains, including the desolate Salt Fields, the Great Tunnel, and the Mountains of Fire, as they face a host of unexpected monsters at every turn.

Thor's skills deepen as he undergoes his most advanced training yet, and he will need to draw on powers greater than he has ever used if he is to survive. They finally discover where the Sword has been taken, and they learn that, to retrieve it, they will have to venture to the most dreaded place in the Empire: the Land of the Dragons.

Back in the Ring, Gwendolyn recovers slowly and grapples with deep depression after her attack. Kendrick and the others vow to fight for her honor, despite the impossible odds. There follows one of the great battles in the history of the Ring, as they struggle to free Silesia and conquer Andronicus.

Meanwhile, Godfrey finds himself in disguise behind enemy lines and begins to come into his own, learning what it means to become a warrior, in his own, unique way. Gareth manages to stay alive, using all his cunning to avert capture by Andronicus, while Erec fights for his life to save Savaria from the oncoming invasion by Andronicus--and to save his love, Alistair. Argon pays a precious price for doing the forbidden: meddling in human affairs. And Gwendolyn must decide if she will give up on life, or take up the secluded life of a nun in the ancient Tower of Refuge.

But not before, in a shocking twist, Thor finally learns who his real father is.

Will Thor and the others survive the quest? Will they retrieve the Destiny Sword? Will the Ring survive Andronicus' invasion? What will become of Gwendolyn, Kendrick and Erec? And who is Thor's real father?

With its sophisticated world-building and characterization, A CHARGE OF VALOR is an epic tale of friends and lovers, of rivals and suitors, of knights and dragons, of intrigues and political machinations, of coming of age, of broken hearts, of deception, ambition and betrayal. It is a tale of honor and courage, of fate and destiny, of sorcery. It is a fantasy that brings us into a world we will never forget, and which will appeal to all ages and genders. It is 70,000 words.

Book #7 in the series (A RITE OF SWORDS) is now also available!

I really hate having to trash a book or series. I have read all 17 books in this series. I only finished because I don’t start a book or series without finishing. I have never read a book with so many story holes in it, conflicting information, good/evil turnarounds, and the incredible amount of “plagiarized” themes. Every science fiction, drama, mystery, fantasy theme from the myriad of books I have previously read were thinly veiled in this series. I literally got sick of reading it and could not wait to finish so I could PERMANENTLY delete it from my Nook. I would NEVER consider re-reading this trash. Lastly, there are hundreds of misspelled and misused words throughout the series, terrible.

This series of books is one of those you cant put down, it is very fulfilling as Morgan Rice writes in a way that you always want the stories to go. There are many happy ending but the trials are heavy and leave a mark not only on the characters but the reader as well. If you are looking for an easy beach read or something to steal you away then pick up this wonderful series.

Morgan Rice has done it again! This sixth installment was the a great read and the best yet with an ending that was terrific. I have read all six of the books and even started by 11 year old daughter on the series and she loved the first book. This installment was incredible and a very easy read. I finished it in one sitting. The development of the story and the different story lines all going on at once made me keep turning the pages. While I hated to see one chapter end I could not wait to read the next chapter. The ending was really a surprise too. I did not see that coming at all. I cannot wait for the next book and hope Ms. Rice keeps turning out great stories like these.

This book has made reading the previous 5 books well worth it, because this book takes the series to another level. You learn who Thor's father is, Gwen's fate is learned and much more. The book picks up from the previous book, like all the other books after 1, and continue right where the story left off at the end of A Vow of Glory. Also, like the other books characters are continuously developed as the story progresses. This book is the reason you have put in effort into reading the series and if you don't read it you will regret it.

one word reading this book. OMG!!! it was nonstop action from the first chapter to the last, and i wont ruin it for anyone by spoiling, but the ending word of book 6 will leave you speechless. once again Morgan Rice has blown my mind with the Sorcerer's Ring Series, and just when i didnt think she could up the notch on excellence, she's proved me wrong. loved the book, cant wait for #7 i hope its soon, i do not want to stop reading

The author is now moving to fast and sketchy like she's briefly filling in. Still no decent proofreading. Great potential but missing the mark.
