During his last years director Alfred Hitchcock went from the sublime to the mediocre. The man who directed such masterpieces as "Rebecca," "Spellbound," "Notorious," "Rear Window," and his best film, "Vertigo," became "just another director." Whether it was due to age, or a lack of interest, his last seven film were also his worst.
