Having read all the Old Fool memoirs by Victoria Twead, I was curious about her foray into fiction. I was not disappointed; this is a thrilling short story set in the Village of Sixpenny Cross and revolving around Abigail Martin. I would thoroughly recommend it.

Oh my goodness. I have known this author through her wonderful memoirs of life in Spain and other climes. I loved those books and now I know she is a multi-faceted author as she writes very entertaining fiction as well. A is for Abigail is a delightful story in a shorter format. Weaving its way around wonderful descriptions of village life, the tight plot is highlighted by the author's finely drawn characters and held this reader until the last sentence. I know there is a B is for Bella in the works which is just as well as I am not ready to leave Sixpenny Cross and its residents just yet.
