A Love So Dangerous by Lili Valente is the first book in her To The Bone series. It is hot and steamy without being overly done. The emotions run high, the writing carries you away, and you won't be able to get enough of Gabe and Caitlin either. Told in dual POV with a cliffhanger ending this will definitely suck you in. Note: It was formerly published as One Wild Night and This Wicked Rush by Jessie Evans. Caitlin is a good girl who has sacrificed her own future in order to give her three younger brothers and younger niece a better chance at a future than she herself had. Her dad is a drunk, her mom abandoned them ages ago and her sister just up and ran off with her drug dealer leaving her infant daughter behind. Caitlin dropped out of high school so she could work two jobs to keep the kids out of the foster system and has been spinning her wheels ever since. Gabe has a mission, to right as many of his family's wrongs as possible in the near future. In between, of course, picking up random girls at the nightclub. When a beautiful blond mesmerizes him with her dance he is hooked. Realizing he knows her after they spent time together on the dance floor comes as a shock, but a pleasant one, at least for him, she is just plain SHOCKED that Gabe is dancing and pursuing her. Loved this - cannot wait to devour more. The characters are New Adult in age and the story reads like a new adult novel. Not to stay it isn't sexy and steamy but they are both in the 20-22 year range so if more mature characters are what you are looking for then I would not recommend this. However, if you enjoy steamy New Adult - READ IT NOW!!!!!!!

A Review of A Love So Dangerous (To The Bone #1) by Lili Valente A modern Day Robin Hood - 5+++++ stars I absolutely LOVE Lili's writing style and characters. I have to say, this isn't like what I am used to reading as the characters are actually committing a criminal act, even if their reasons are honorable. I can totally understand where Caitlin is coming from since she has been desperately trying to hold her family together in every way she can, because she became part of the system at one point because her parents couldn't take care of them. She dropped out of High School to raise her brothers and her niece, after her Mother took off and her sister decided to follow her drug dealer, leaving her two month old as with Caitlin as well. Her Father isn't much help either, since he prefers to drink his problems away, leaving Caitlin to provide for the family of six on her own. Caitlin is out celebrating her birthday with her best friend when Gabe sees her on the dance floor and goes after her. While they both enjoy the music and the dirty dancing together, when she finally looks up and recognizes him, she pulls a disappearing act on him. Gabe just happens to be one of the guys she went to school with when she had a scholarship, but the Cooney name caused her to have to deal with a lot of harassment. Gabe has all the money he wants and the ability to get away with almost anything. Why is he on this path of playing Robin Hood and why does it seem he has no regard to his own life. Why does he want to drag Caitlin along with him? I have to say that I loved the overall story and the characters. This just goes to show you that the world isn't always black and white. **Complimentary Copy provided by Author for an honest review.**

*4.5 stars* When bad feels so, so right… I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – this author could write a shopping list and it would instantly become sexy, compelling and emotional. I would probably cry a little over turnips, she’s that good. This is not a shopping list but a well-written story of bad being good and good seeing, and loving, the good and bad. I did get misty and ache for the situation Caitlin found herself in and could not have been more shocked and amazed at how Gabe came to her rescue. Emotionally, tangibly, physically – he was her knight in shining armor, a knight that she didn’t want in her complicated life but couldn’t seem to turn away. And Caitlin turned around and provided all the things that Gabe was missing in his life. Things he didn’t really want but couldn’t help but grab with both hands. And there are more than just these two in this increasingly complex story. Family is complicated, what an understatement, as obstacles are overcome and new ones crop up in a courtship that is deliciously unconventional and full of surprises. Be warned, this twisty story ends in a doozy of a cliffhanger but that also means there are going to be two more instalments! And that is a very good thing… *I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This is a previously published book by Jessie Evans, but it fits more with Lili Valente's style. I re-read the book and liked it more the second time around. This is a trilogy, so this one ends in a cliffhanger and if you know Lili's books - she is the queen of the dramatic cliffhanger. Gabe and Caitlin are not your normal romantic couple - they are kinda the anti-romantic couple. Gabe is rich, smart and a criminal. Caitlin is trying to hold her family together by a thin thread. Gabe swoops in and saves the day in an unconventional way. They meet again while at a dance club - the night ends differently than you would expect! Gabe is holding onto a secret and only wants a summer fling. Caitlin is too busy with school, work, and family to enter into a serious relationship. Be prepared for some tension filled scenes, some hot sex, and wanting to smack Gabe in the head. And oh that ending...can't wait to see what is going to happen next!!

Caitlin is at her wit’s end trying to figure how she is going to make ends meet before she has to pay the tax man the following week, realizing that she doesn’t have a way to get there and this will mean that her brothers and niece will be split up into foster homes, a place she knows from experience is not a good place to be. It is also her 20th birthday so her and her friend Sherry go out dancing, the only way she can escape her current situation. In comes Gabe, a well off handsome man that she went to school with before she had to drop out to try to raise her siblings as her mom skipped out and her dad being an alcoholic was not helping. Unbeknownst to Caitlin, Gabe is a man who knows how to get things, and he has decided to help her get what she needs. By doing things to get back at the bad guys....and reaping in the benefits... They decide to spend the summer together and this is a roller coaster of a ride and you better hang on for the cliff hanger at the end. It's an amazing read and I love this author! She brings us such an amazing variety of books and she will always keep you wanting more... cliffy or not!

Loved this one! It sucked me right in. It's told from the first person point of view with dual points of view from Caitlin and Gabe. Caitlin has sacrificed so much for her family now she may lose everything she's trying to keep together. Then she meets Gabe and her world as she knows it will never be the same. Gabe is not the typical hero, but he has the qualities that make him one heck of a good guy. I will warn you this does end on a cliffhanger and one heck of a one to boot. Will Gabe's and Caitlin's activities finally catch up with them? It also leaves you with questions about Gabe. This book has the drama, passion, suspense, and heart I look for in a good book. Can't wait to read the next book to see what's in store for Gabe and Caitlin.

4 1/2 Stars A Love So Dangerous is the first of a three-part series from one of my favorite, must-read authors, Lili Valente. She has given us a taste into the journey of an unexpected love between Caitlin and Gabe, and in her usual style, has given us a story that will not only pull at your heart, but it will also have you hanging on the edge of your chair with moments of suspense and danger. Caitlin is living a difficult life dropping out of school to raise her three brothers and her niece because they cannot count on their alcoholic father who doesn't work and spends money faster than she can earn it, and an absent mother and sister who have both deserted them. She is forced to work two jobs to support her family and is always struggling with money problems. On the night of her 20th birthday, Caitlin decides to take the night off from her worries and responsibilities and when she unexpectedly runs into Gabe, they feel an immediate connection. Their one night together ultimately leads to a bit of danger, not to mention an unexpected hot and steamy encounter which overwhelms them both. Although they agree to keep their relationship simple, limited to one summer together, they both quickly become aware of the deep feelings they are developing for one another. From the beginning, we get a feel for Gabe’s almost immediate need to protect Caitlin, not only from their shenanigans, but also from anyone who he feels does not have her best interests in mind. And not only does Ms. Valente give us some hot, sensual moments, she also writes the most loving and beautifully tender scenes and some heartbreaking ones as well. As I continued turning the final pages, all I could think was “No! No! Don’t do this to me!” But as she had forewarned, Ms. Valente left me hanging wondering what will happen next. I can’t wait to get my hands on book 2 with the continuation of this series and hopefully answering the questions Ms. Valente has left in my mind.

The writing is absolutely outstanding! Lili Valente can write anything. A Love So Dangerous is sexier, darker and hotter with an extremely different plot twist. This is a unique story of Caitlin and Gabe. On her birthday she decides she needs a night out. She goes out dancing and is approached by Gabe, a hot sexy guy who's looking for something different than his normal dates. There's heat, there's a smokin' connection and there's recognition! I think saying it's a wild night is a bit of an understatement! Caitlin is taking care of her brothers and niece and trying to earn enough money to keep their house and feed her family. Gabe can't forget about the one night they spent together so he has a proposition for her that she can't say no to. They agree to spend the summer together and their lust quickly turns into something deeper. I was sucked into the story from the beginning and couldn't put it down. Gabe is so effing sexy and dangerous with just enough of a dirty mouth! Caitlin is beautiful and caring and can't help but fall for him. They have major obstacles and there is a cliffhanger. I laughed and I cried and I can't wait to see how their story plays out. This is a memory I want to keep for the rest of my life. This is one of the pictures I want to flash before my eyes when I'm fighting for my final breath. And then I see him, Gorgeous Gabe, leaning against the weathered bricks of Harry's Diner, his jagged brown hair hanging so delicious in wrinkled black jeans and a whisper-thin gray tee shirt it should be illegal. The moment our eyes meet, his full lips draw into a grin that promises the best kind of trouble, and something breaks inside me.

4.5 Stars This was such an amazing and emotionally brutal book and it took me absolutely by surprise. I was such a mess after finishing this book and I’m still now. I did not expect such a storyline and outcome. Not at all. I am flabbergasted. The blurb just doesn't do the book justice, though it's hard to explain this book without giving too much away but the blurb made me question if I would like this book because I thought it would be similar to so many others. It made me believe that this would be just another bad boy romance where the good girl falls in love with the bad guy. I assumed that this guy would be part of the mafia or some criminal gang and she would be head over heels for his good looks and that there would be of course a lot of trouble with a lot of dirty sex and talks. But as it turned out, I was as wrong as one can be. The Story: Caitlin doesn’t have an easy life. She started taking care of her family when she was still a kid. Her mother left her kids behind with a drunken father which can't keep a job for longer than a few months. When Caitlin's older sister also left, she abandoned not just her sister and younger brothers but also her own baby. Caitlin dropped out of school and is now working low paid jobs to pay the bills that keep getting higher and higher. Caitlin is everything that holds this family together. Without her, all of the kids would be taken into social service and sent to separate foster homes. When Caitlin meets Gabe, she knows he means trouble. Especially for her since she can't have a distraction in her life such as him. He is bad for her and her family. Gabe is just looking for girls to keep his mind off of stuff for an hour or two. When he sees Caitlin he feels drawn to her and he soon notices that she is more than he ever wanted in a girl. Gabe is bad for Caitlin in so many ways though it would make her life easier when she’s helping Gabe with his plan, even though it’s dangerous. Gabe is dangerous and their plan is dangerous. What if something goes wrong? What if one of them or both get caught? What if emotions are getting in the way? Although Caitlin was always the responsible so far she now feels free and reckless for the first time in her life thanks to Gabe. They agree to follow through with his plan for this summer. Three months. What can possibly go wrong in those three months? A lot as it seems. And the aftermath is devastating. Thoughts: Thoughts: I have to say that I loved this book so much!! I can't get rid of my book hangover. I'm still a mess after this book. The writing was capturing and the story suspenseful and gut-wrenching in so many ways and the characters turned out to be so much more than in the beginning. This book was so not what I was expecting. It was sooooo much better. A different story than I thought it would be. Besides all the bad that happened to Caitlin there is so much loving and caring involved in this book but also heartbreak, a lot of suspense and some sadness but still hope for the good in the bad times. Oh god. I still can’t believe what a gut-wrenching story this was. The ending is killing me and not just because of the major cliffhanger. Oh god! I need the next book! Now! Give it to me! I need more and I need a HEA. Please! For the love of books I need it! -- This ARC was kindly provided by Social Butterfly PR in exchange for an honest review. --
