About the Author

Ruth Ann Nordin has written seventy romances, ranging from Regencies to historical westerns to contemporaries. She plays with other genres from time to time, but her first love is romance. She has been happily married for eighteen years to a sweet and funny guy, and they have four sons, who are all taller than Ruth now that they're 12, 13, 14, and 16. The good thing is she doesn't need a ladder, and there's always someone to take care of a mouse that squeezes its way into her Montana home. She considers herself very lucky to have led such a charmed life. Being able to play with characters and create stories is just icing on the cake. Hopefully, she'll get to keep doing this many years to come.

A Most Unsuitable Earl by Ruth Ann Nordin Regency Collection Book 3 Ethan Silverton, the Lord of Edon, has worked extremely hard the past five years….at cultivating a reputation as a rake. A really bad rake. The kind that makes even the pushiest debutante’s mother shutter. And it’s worked so far, very few of the Ton want their precious daughters married to a man with such an nefarious reputation. Until one night at a ball all that changes. Between a momma set on his title and money for her daughter, a tiny lie and his interfering mother he finds his life has changed drastically enough to cause a grown man to swoon. Lady Catherine Morgan daughter to the Duke of Rumsey has yet to get a proposal even though her dear father has brought about every bachelor around for her that he can find. She may as well plan on giving up her dreams of home and family and accept her spinster status. Just when she has a glimmer of hope at meeting the right man, everything goes wrong. Before she knows it she is betrothed to the only man that would cause her to gladly stay a spinster rather than marry him. Ruth Ann Nordin has written another outstanding story. Not only does the book draw you in to where you don’t want to put it down until the end but she has filled it with humorous situations. Lord Edon is not quite who he seems to be and the prim and proper, not to mention boring, Lady Catherine has a side to her worthy of his rakish rumors. The characters all have such unique personalities like Ethan’s mother who you may want to lock away, or at least practice using duct tape on, and Catherine’s father who enjoys scaring the heebie jeebies out of poor Ethan. What chance does this marriage have when it seems their parents are continually looking over their shoulders? **Sexual situations within marriage

No good rake gets stuck marrying a plain nobody because of his meddling mother. Upon the wedding night you find out his reputation is all false and he is still a virgin. The guy is such a wimp i can't imagine anyone believing this whole false identity he fabricated just to avoid marriage. Halfway through the book i was so annoyed with his character i quit reading, honestly what women could fall in love with such a pansyfied mamas boy!

A Most Unsuitable Earl by Ruth Ann Nordin is an entertaining historical romance. Ms. Nordin has given us a well-written book packed with outstanding characters. Ethan and Catherine's story is loaded with drama, humor, misunderstandings and sizzle. I enjoyed reading A Most Unsuitable Earl and look forward to reading more from Ruth Ann Nordin in the future. A Most Unsuitable Earl is book 2 of the Marriage By Scandal Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

Their parents were interfering bullies who tried to control their childrens live. There is a story being told but it gets boring because it slips in between pages and pages of sexual discriptions that take it out of a teens romance.

This is my second, and last, attempt to read one of her books. The stories are rediculous and the writing is on a jr. high school level.

This was my first Ruth Ann Nordin nook book. I am very glad that Barnes & Noble recommended it based on prior purchases. The story of Ethan and Catherine was a delightful read. Ethan content to let the world believe he was a notorious rake avoided marriage at all costs, so he could enjoy a peaceful life in the country. Catherine was desperate to marry before her train left the station permanently! Well, their trains collided, and lo and behold, they were forced into marriage. This is where the story really unfolds. It is told with humor and a light heartness that I really enjoy. A book that will take me back in time to the Regency Period with all its dictates, and bring a smile to my face will be a keeper. You won't be sorry if you check this out. I purchased more books by this author and look forward to reading them.

The guy in this books resembles a wimp. He is bullied but all and wimpers the entire time. The behavior this character has is hard to imagine as an adult more like a young teen boy. It also drags. The story itself is dull and a few chapter were just everyday life with the author trying to convince us they had fallen in love, which could be shown in a page or two not chapters.
