He's got a secret. She's telling lies.

Anders Olsen has a big problem. When he joined forces with nine other Navy SEALs to build a model sustainable community, he didn't know he'd be filmed—or that the resulting television show would become a nationwide sensation. Now everyone's watching Base Camp, which means everyone's watching him. The show's rules dictate it's his turn to marry. Can he find a bride before someone exposes who he really is?

Evelyn Wright believes she'll change the world until an accident sends her home to Virginia. Now instead of an adventurous life as an aid worker in foreign lands, she's stuck in a dead-end job, facing a dead-end future. So when an image crosses her desk that could bring a major oil corporation to its knees, Eve decides to find a way to share it with the widest audience she can. Base Camp has got great ratings. Can she find a way to get on the show?

When Eve turns up at Base Camp, will she be the answers to Anders' prayers, or the end to everything he most cares about?

Fun story of Anders and Evelyn (“Eve”). They are both pro-environment and Eve learns a disturbing truth at work, but isn’t supposed to tell. Her friend suggests they get her to Basecamp where she can insert herself and get a national audience that will demand environmental clean-up. Everything seems to go to plan except her heart. She had watched the show before and was always most taken but Anders, but could she lose her heart to him and he to her? Could she get the exposure she needs or will it hurt/cancel Basecamp’s TV show? They are doing good things too. And then she questions her safety, even surrounded by so many former Navy Seal’s. This is a delightful story as things come together and then fall apart so horribly….makes you wonder will they get an HEA? Loved this book (no cliff hanger either)!

I loved reading Eve and Anders's story. What excitement for Base Camp.

The secret heir of an oil baron fascinated with an undercover environmental amazon who is planning to expose the errors made by his family business creates all sorts of good conflict on its own but add in a grubby new director and too many lies and secrets and this turns into one of the best stories in the series.

Love this series. Just when you think it might star to get boring, it takes off in a new direction. This is a great series, & I can't wait for the next one.

ARC for honest review with no compensation Seal’s Devotion is book 7 in the SEALs of Chance Creek by Cora Seton and another great addition. Anders Olsen is up next, the quiet one, has secrets that not one person knows about..but wants to find his bride on his own..little does he know that his bride comes with plenty of secrets of her own that could bring him and Base Camp down. Eve Wright has watched Base Camp since the beginning and has a crush on Anders and being an environmentalist she needs to find a way to expose Hansen Oil for toxic spills and what better way then to go on national TV and spill... Lies, secrets, tensions, twist, turns, see old friends and discovering the truth will this leave Anders and Eve with a HEA or completely destroy Base Camp??

I was a little wary of reading this, because I've read only the first book of the series and it was quite awhile ago. But, you don't have to be familiar with the series as a whole to know what's going on, as there's enough information interspersed throughout this book from the previous ones to have a basic understanding of what came before. All of that being said, I did enjoy this book and it's characters. I liked Eve and Anders, and I liked that their attraction came naturally. Yes, they do have to marry quickly, but they also have common ground which draws them together. The question of the story is can they both get past their secrets and deceptions to get to that HEA. It was an interesting turn to the ending for everything to come to a head, but it was nice in the way that it did. I plan to go back and read the rest of the series at some point to get the full story of Base Camp after reading this.
