This is the second book in the time traveling series. This book does not disappoint, Caris has a way with words that make the realm worlds feel real and you get a real connection with the characters. As I read this book, I laughed, cried, and felt upset. Great author! This book is about Mastyr Rez and a Fae named Holly, she is also a blood rose. Both these characters have judged each other before they got to really know one another. So when Rez is at the brink of death at the beginning of the book and calls on Holly for help; she can not avoid her fae instincts and goes to aid him. Shorty after they realize she’s a blood rose, but they despise what they believe to be true about the other person. However, they must work together to save their world from an evil threat and also for the sake of Rez’s daughter Isobel. In doing so they realize they had misjudged one another and brought them love something neither one dreamed they could have. A copy of this book was provided for me with no requirement for a review. Book 2 in the time-travel focused return to the 9 realms throws together 2 contentious individuals who have strong beliefs about the other person that aren't exactly positive. But things are not always was they seem, and that is the theme of the book - learning to look past your preconcieved notions, as well as your own limitations on yourself. Copy received in exchange for honest review.

The next installment in Caris Roane's spin-off of the Blood Rose series brings us Holly, a college professor that on the outside comes across as uptight and judgmental. She doesn't agree with Rez's desertion from the Vampire Guard. He is a rough-around-the-edges biker type that likes women and hates commitment. He doesn't have time to deal with Miss Lofty College Professor when he is hunting for his kidnapped daughter, the only surviving member of his murdered family. He doesn't care what people think of his actions to leave the Guard and he certainly doesn't seem to like Holly, but when he is injured fighting the Invictus he knows he is moments from death and reaches out to Holly who had healed him months earlier in a bar fight with Mastyr Stone. She comes to his aid because she is drawn to him though she doesn't want to be. That moment of healing him starts the ball rolling on their adventure with looking for his daughter, dealing with their strong attraction to each other even though they don't particularly like each other, and the new development of Holly being a Blood Rose. Sparks fly and they come to know each other better, but Rez tells her straight up that he has no love in his heart to give her and doesn't want a relationship with her. She knows she will have to find a Mastyr to bond with even though she only wants Rez. She refuses to push him for more than he can give and in the end sacrifices herself to save his daughter. Rez of course only needed a push to realize that he loves Holly and he flies to her rescue. I liked them as a couple. They are strong, the conflicts they face to have a relationship are well developed and they come together slowly (sort of). I liked the pace, the passion, Holly's rebellious tendencies that Rez had no idea she had, and Rez was a very strong male lead. The bad guys are formidable but not more than our heroes can handle. I liked this one.

Title: A Vampire’s Embrace Author: Caris Roane Genre: Adult Paranormal Romance Format: Ebook Pages: 356 Rating: 5 Heat: 5 Thoughts: Beautiful story! I loved how the characters surprised each other; they both had judgments about the other’s life and assumed it couldn’t work. Oh how wrong they were. And so much excitement and action, absolutely loved it!! I also really like the world it takes place in, it’s like earth but it’s not, and earth is brought up a few times. I think the mixing of the races is AWESOME!! Emily is fae and vampire, plus there are trolls, gremlins and shifters. I hope there are more books in this series!! Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work and chose to write a review.

A VAMPIRE'S EMBRACE, Book 2 -Blood Rose Time-Travel Series, Caris Roane Missed book one (A Vampire's Soft Embrace) or haven't read any of the Blood Rose Series, which this follows? It's all good, you can start with this book. You're missing the running background, but it's easy enough to pick up. Which brings us to cliffhangers. Most people this is probably their biggest pet peeve in books. The story as in getting to the HEA, finishes… there's the running background that will continue to the next book, but it pretty much ends. I've enjoyed any book I've read of Caris Roane's and this is no different. There's enough new to the series that I'm still 'learning' what these new versions of the Blood Roses are. But all in all. You have love scenes that are hot and fit well into the story. Plenty of action, to keep you on the edge of your seat and not wanting to put the book down. A great story line that keeps you interest. Believable characters that you really want to get together and watching their journey to their HEA. So get comfy and settle in and enjoy the story.

If I could give this book more than five stars I would. Caris Roane has a special way of writing that makes you feel as if you're standing in the room watching everything happen first hand. You can actually see the view from Holly's living room while you're reading the scene in the book. FANTASTIC! This is book two of the Blood Rose Time Travel series and it features Mastyr Rez and Healer, Holly McCrae. These two are brilliant together. The chemistry is almost sparking off the pages. Love is difficult, especially when you have your reasons for not wanting to be in it. I am loving this new spinoff series and I can't wait for the next book.

Great Read. I love it when a series can transport you to another world and this series definitely does that. This is a fast paced read with lots of suspense, Rex and Holly are amazing characters and I look forward to more in the series.

Rez vowed that he'll never let another woman close to him. His heart is dead. He lost his wife and sons in an Invictus attack and then they kidnapped his daughter. That was two years ago. Now things are coming to a head with new attacks. During a battle Rez is critically injured and Holly heals him. They are drawn together because he's a mastyr vampire and she's a Blood Rose. This story was suspenseful and kept me reading. I couldn't stop until I knew that evil wouldn't win. Rez and Holly formed a powerful bond that strengthened as the story progressed. They are unbeatable. I especially enjoyed seeing Holly using her time-pathing abilities. I loved seeing her become strong and powerful in her own right. Rez can't let her go. I was glad to see him awaken to love and hope. I wanted them to embrace their destiny. Caris Roane has outdone herself with this book. The story is well written. It's full of passion, danger and the paranormal. A Vampire's Embrace is a great addition to The Blood Rose Time Travel series.

A Vampire's Embrace is the second book in the Blood Rose Time Travel series, and we meet up with Rez and Holly as they become the latest pair that the Invictus target. This world is firmly established, and yet Caris Roane has managed to introduce a new set of rules to their world - that of time-pathing. Only a certain few have this talent, and Holly is one of them. She has been pushed hard by Vojalie but still has things to learn. One thing she doesn't need to learn about though, is Rez. Holly thinks that she knows him, the same as he thinks that he knows her. Both of these are in for the shock of their lives as they realise that the real them is very different from what the other thought. With a fast pace and steamy situations, it was with delight that I found the softer, more gentle, side of Rez and his quest to find his missing daughter. This was exceedingly well written, with enough angst to make it real, rather than overly dramatic. There were no editing or grammatical errors that disrupted my reading flow. I would totally recommend not only this book, and the first one is this series, but the whole Blood Rose set. With characters mentioned from previous stories, you will definitely be in for a treat as you enter their world. * A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book, and my comments here are my honest opinion. * Merissa Archaeolibrarian - I Dig Good Books!

Roane continues to feed our fang and time travel hungers in this latest installment in the Nine Realms. Love the time path elements as they have always been a fantasy of mine. Great warrior strategy to be able to envelope into an invisible space to observe the enemy and plan their defeat! Rez our former Vampire Guard enlists Holly's fae healing power when he is attached by Invictus Wrath pairs. The puzzle is where did they come from and why is Rez being targeted? Our all powerful couple Vojalie and Davido again make an encore appearance along with Blood Rose Rosamunde and Mastyr Stone. Tragedy of the past cause stumbling blocks for Rez and Holly while their Blood Rose connection bonds and strenghens their mission to succeed "A copy of this book was provided to me by author with no requirements for a review. The Nine Realms is a captivating world I wouldn't mind visiting... well, once they deal with a few public safety issues. :) Holly is a fae healer who knows of vampire Rez through his reputation mostly... and, unfortunately, his is not the kind of reputation any one seeks. That anyone respects him baffles her, and yet the more time she spends with him the more people she meets who do indeed respect him, many of whom are people she knows and considers to be good judges of character... so what is she missing? Rez's family was brutally murdered, he is all alone, unless you count his daughter, who instead of being killed was abducted, but her abduction gives him reason to live... and thankfully this remarkable man sees a great deal in his own suffering, and his search for his daughter is not the only way he is spending his time, for which countless people have good reason to be grateful. This may be my favorite story in the nine realms. I enjoyed both of these characters, and how Holly came to understand Rez and why his loss to the Invictus had felt different than hers. Holly is a fun blend of smart and compassionate, and remains aware of the world around her.

Vampires, gremlins, time travel and so much more! Another wonderful romantic adventure in the Nine Realms! Mastyr Rez has known tragedy... his main focus for years has been to find his missing daughter! With the help of Holly, will he find her or will the evil that has cropped up prevent that from happening? I am loving this branch off series! We get to enjoy seeing characters we have met before and see others share their journeys among the blood rose phenomenon! I had to turn page after page to see how things would turn out in one sitting! Embrace this series, you will not be disappointed! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
