Fairytale Not Required - Book 2 in her Ever After Series by Stephanie Rowe We met Astrid Monroe in No Knight Needed. Astrid makes jewelry and comes off free spirited and some may say flighty. Unknown to everyone in the town Astrid has a secret. Which leads her to be very untrusting about men. Enter Jason Sarantos. Ex Doctor turned Pizza restaurant owner. Jason is a widower with a small son who moves to Birch Crossing to start a new life going into the family business. Astrid is VERY attracted to Jason as soon as she meets him. With her past she runs not walks in the other direction. Jason is also attracted to Astrid. He lets her run as he can see in her eyes that is not him she is running from. Eventually these two souls get together. I really can not say anymore without giving away the rest of the story. I would suggest you have a Kleenex handy reading this story. Stephanie did great bringing these tow together. I am anxious to see who is next to have their story told.

Definitely a great book to read. Characters are imperfect and ones you want to root for. You won't be disappointed with this book... I can't wait to read the next story in this series!

This is a quick paced story that grabs a hold of you right from the start and won’t let go. It’s about two people that have both been hurt very deeply and need to learn how to trust and not judge each other by someone else’s actions. They also have to learn about themselves and face their own demons. I am very taken with Stephanie Rowe’s writing and I haven’t found any of her books that I don’t love.

While it may not have the opening line, “Once upon a time,” Stephanie Rowe’s “Fairytale Not Required” is a contemporary fairytale at its finest. No, this enchanted tale doesn’t have fairies, princesses, dragons or evil step mothers, in fact there isn’t even a fairy God mother included in this story. So why call it a fairytale at all? Because many fairy tales are about unhappy people who eventually gain happiness This delicious tale takes readers on an emotional ride, from the very first pages till the very end. “Fairytale Not Required is a story about a beautiful woman, who has had a hard life, who struggles quietly on her own, not wanting to be a burden on anyone. Not even the people closes to her know her internal struggles or even her past. It’s the story about a handsome young man with a small child, who has his own set of issues that he is trying to run away from. This lands him in the far away, quaint country town of Birch Crossing. Our Hero, Jason is the newest resident, having moved there with his young son, looking for a fresh start in life. The first person he meets is Astrid, who immediately catches Jason’s interest. Astrid is also taken back by Jason, yet neither able to admit the attraction. Stephanie Rowe has once again created a strong, self-determining and complex female Heroine. One most women can totally relate to as we journey with Astrid through her insecurities and self-doubt that battles with her fierce independent nature. Jason was with all his struggles and faults, the perfect prince Charming, who swept Astrid off her feet.He sees pass the tough outer shell that Astrid has placed around herself and truly sees her. But can he get pass his own struggle to help Astrid or will Astrid be the one to save Jason? Will Astrid and Jason get their Happy Ever After…of course they will, this is a fairytale after all..

Fairytale Not Required is contemporary romance at its best. Filled with raw emotion and realism, we easily become absorbed in the passion, drama and romance of its two protagonists. There is no holding back when we become swept away by the tidal wave of romance palpable in this amazing contemporary read. In Fairytale Not Required, we delve into the fiery and vibrant world of Astrid, a character whom I was immediately drawn to in No Knight Needed. Stephanie Rowe has successfully created a strong female protagonist in Astrid, one who is so unbelievably complex and realistic that when her back story unfolded I was completely immersed in her story. And what a heartbreaking story it is! Very early on in the novel, we are held captive by the delicious introduction of the newest addition to Birch Crossing, Jason. Jason, much like Astrid, is an equally complex individual; although one that carries demons of his own. It is when these two amazing, complicated characters’ lives become entwined that the real passion and drama begins. Fairytale Not Required is an compelling read that is both hot and modern. It should most definitely be on your “Don’t think, just buy now!” list. Bex ‘n’ Books Rated 5 phenomenal fairies!

FAIRYTALE NOT REQUIRED, the second book in the series, is another fabulous love story.  The characters are fabulous, the story realistic and flawed enough to make for just enough difficulty getting together to make the story very interesting!  BUY AND READ THIS BOOK!

Stephanie knocks it out of the park with this one!  Fairytale Not Required has everything you could possible want in a romance... Amazing characters that are both trying to run from or forget their pasts only to run right smack dab into each other.  Jason is ready and  willing to open his heart to Astrid, but Astrid has her doubts about anything good actually being able to happen to her.  Jason is determined  to convince her otherwise.   This is a must read story that will grip your heart and have you staying up way past bedtime trying to finish.
