It's nearly impossible to write a good novella in 51 pages, as demonstrated by this one. It has a lot of potential but not enough detail to be believable. The shortness means no time or space to make what should be intense scenes true to what is needed. I love novels w/animals in them so I'm going to give the second 1 a try & hope for a better, more believable tale :) w/less stilted conversations. It's a little longer so I'm hoping for the best.

I like the author's writing and enjoy her stories. At .99 cents I thought I was getting a bargain but when I started reading, I noticed it was only 51 pages long. Its the first in a series, but if I can't find out how long the rest of them are I won't be buying them.

At 60 pages in length, it's a great introduction to a thrilling new K-9 series! This is where it all starts and getting to know Zara & Dylan was a real treat. Who can resist Zara's four legged partner Radar? A bit gun shy due to a traumatic event, both Zara and Radar must get past the fear if they are to make the coveted FBI team. With the help of Dylan, an old time friend and tech guy on the team, the position seems close at hand. Of course there must be some outside conflict to add that spark of adventure to the story and long buried feelings of romance begin to surface. An exciting beginning! I can't wait for the rest of the full length stories in the Classified K-9 Unit books!
