Overview

It's the first day of spring and Alexa and her best friend Nicholas are so excited! This year they are planning to put together a parade filled with colorful, fluttering butterflies. But wait, Nicholas has a special surprise for Alexa as he presents her with a large box covered with a big pink bow. Alexa is so enthusiastic but she has to wait until they collect all the butterflies to open her special gift.

About the Author

Mary Ann Bryszewski has had many opportunities throughout her career and lifetime, but writing Alexa’s Butterfly Parade has been one of the most rewarding and challenging goals to accomplish. Mary Ann has always maintained strong ties to her community and has served as a board member for the Alexa Nawrocki Pediatric Cancer Foundation. To help spread the mission of the foundation, Mary Ann published this book, which is based on Alexa’s love of butterflies and her journey through life.

Mary Ann has built a career in marketing and has a love for the creative. She rises to the concept of collaborative ideas and building strong teams that can take a project to its maximum potential. For example, she has coordinated and contributed to many mural projects for charities across Southern New Jersey. One of these murals was for a ministry of Camden, NJ-based UrbanPromise International. She personally assembled a team of 14 artists and philanthropists that raised money to build a library for Youth Care Mission and children in underprivileged Malawi, Africa, turning it into a colorful and inspiring space.

Currently living in Mullica Hill, New Jersey, her favorite thing to do is spend time with family and plan future projects that can make an impact on communities and nonprofits around the world.
