About the Author

Rena Joy comes from Halifax, Nova Scotia. She now lives in rural Alberta, where she dreams of oceans and one day returning to her birthplace. Poetry is her first love. She found poetry at the age of eleven following the sudden passing of her brother. Rena now uses poetry to build connections, heal and break stigmas. Almost Loved is her debut collection of poems, inspired by her own life and the beautiful humans that have helped her heal and grow.
