About the Author

Aimee Easterling is a USA Today Bestselling author writing on the boundary between urban fantasy and paranormal romance. She specializes in spunky shifters and invites you to dive into her werewolf world in the Wolf Rampant trilogy, the spinoff Bloodling serial, and her new Alpha Underground series.

Studying biology and working as a naturalist have both informed Aimee's writing, but she's quite willing to let reality slide in favor of a good story. When not writing, she loves to read and always keeps books by Robin McKinley, Patricia Briggs, and Elizabeth Peters on her shelf. You can learn more at www.aimeeeasterling.com.

I started with Shiftless and after that I bought all in this series. Awesome to have actual stories, characters with development and depth , interplay, themes that are more than just sex and shredding (get boring after a while). Aimee Easterling shows thought and desire to make captivating reading.

Great story! It's actually a continuation of Terra's story. She is still learning to be an alpha and a mate. Difficulties keep arising that must be dealt with. Great job Ms. Easterling!

Loved this final installment to Terra and Wolfies story. Once I started reading I couldn't stop. Great clean reading with action and drama.

Alpha Ascendant focuses around Ember the bloodling wolf that all of the pack indulges. Justin, her biological father isn’t afraid to use her as a tool against Wolfie, Terra and the pack. Much of the story has the entire pack evolving and Ember working as the string that ties everyone together. This book expanded on many of pack and even add a couple of interesting characters. I found it fascinating that Terra’s wolf had to keep indulging her on the simplicity of being a wolf. I think it had to do with her many years away from the pack and staying out of wolf form. As Terra learned from her wolf as well as her mate and actions of her pack, I think it was all part of her growing and expanding process. Where as Wolfie was always one with his wolf and yet, they both had to learn to work Terra and trust that she wouldn’t reject them.

Much like the previous installment in this series, Alpha Ascendant takes a more serious path. Inter-pack politics come into play when custody of Ember is questioned. Justin once again becomes a formidable adversary for the Haven pack. This is the final book in the Wolf Rampant series.... I wish there were more adventures for Wolfie and Terra! I was gifted this book in exchange for an honest review.
