Parvati Jai knows better than to pin any romantic hopes on Max Dewitt. She may have had a crush on her best friend's older brother since she figured out what boys were good for, but she's looking for Mister Forever - not a workaholic entrepreneur with a romantic attention span that tops out at two weeks. Yet with her business failing, her newly-engaged best friend vanishing into a love bubble, and even her teenage niece announcing she's getting married, Max becomes the one person she can rely on - and the idea of a little fling with him becomes even more tempting.

Max knows his little sister's best friend is off-limits...until Parvati confesses she once had a crush on him and he can't help seeing her in a new - and very intriguing - light. He's never been good at letting people past his charming facade, but something about Parvati makes him want to let down his defenses.

But even if he lets himself fall for her, how can he convince a woman who knows all about his love-'em-and-leave-'em ways that he finally wants forever?

Lizzie Shane wrote a great book about being your own worst enemy. Parvati's low esteem was the block that tripped up her life's success. She had loved Max since she was six years old but she always felt that she was the flawed daughter in her perfect family. This is not a cliffhanger. This is a story about finding yourself and believing that you are worth the best and not accepting less than that. I loved the story and read with non-stop, all through the night!!! This is a story to share!!!

A well written a story about how our own insecurities can make us missunderstand words and cause doubts when there is no reason too. A very cute romance a joy to read.

The explanations of relationships and feelings in the beginning of this love story between Parvati and Max dragged on in the beginning of the book and it was hard to like either of them. But the story gained depth towards the middle of the book and came to a satisfying and somewhat emotional close

Great story line, perfectly written and edited. Love the characters, lots of sassy dialog. I actually laughed out loud several times. Lots of love and lust and plenty of sex because of that love and lust. A pleasure to read a tale of romance that is positive and full of crazy caring without a bunch of angst. Love the author and will definitely be reading more of her books. About that cover...WOW.

A fantastic start to a new series from this author. This book has a great set of characters that felt familiar and real right away. I felt for Parvati. Seeing her struggle both personally and professionally was hard and you felt badly for her having no one to really turn to that would understand without judgement. Her best friend is wrapped up in wedding plans and her sisters are all stupidly in love. Then to make matters worse her best friend's brother Max finally realizes Parvati has always had a crush on him and she just wants to curl up and cry. Max starts to look at her differently though and it seems as though maybe there could be something. But Max has never been one to take relationships seriously and Parvati is always being warned away from him. It was fun watching these two finding their way to each other and the slow build to their relationship. The story is very well done and I would definitely recommend it to everyone.
