I love Katee Robert and the O'Malley series is definitely one of my favorites :) So of course it is not a surprise that I jumped at the opportunity to review the latest instalment in the series. Cillian has always been kind of an enigma for me. From being the party boy of the family during the first book (mostly the beginning) he changes to being the brooding and closed off brother that keeps everything inside and carries a lot of pain and blame in his heart. But even that is not something that everyone sees. He hides it well, and for quite a while after the tragedy that changed his life, his family still thinks of him as the irresponsible and care for nothing man that loves to party and flirt (and more) with women. The only person who really sees the shadows under his eyes and the demons that chase him, is the one person that doesn't want to have anything to do with him. Olivia Rashidi, the new employee of the bar Cillian frequents. Olivia has her own demons chasing her and her own skeletons in her closet. And the last thing she wants in her life is another man connected, whose family is connected to the crime life. But, as we all know, plans never work out as we want them to be. The connection between Cillian and Olivia is undeniable and sparks fly every single time they are close to each other. With Olivia, Cillian can be himself and show her the real him. The vulnerable soul, that carries the weight of the world and the guilt for his brother's death. It is not easy but these two scarred souls find peace and understanding in each other. And added to their scorching chemistry, it grows into something more. Something worth fighting for. But as you would expect from a Katee Robert book, danger is not far behind. And it can cost Cillian and Olivia everything they have. During the whole story, the action is fast paced and intriguing. You never know what will happen next. It really caught me form the first page and it didn't let me go until the end. I enjoyed every single second of it. The characters are complex and very well developed. I was rooting for them from the very start ;) So, If I have to summarise, I loved this book. It was fast paced, suspenseful, full with danger, heartbreak, healing and romance. Pretty much it had everything that makes a story great. It is definitely a must read. so don't waste even a second and #oneclick this incredible story :)

4 1/2 STARS! In Book 3 of her The O'Malleys series, Katee Robert brings us Cillian's story. He is my favorite O'Malley yet, and I really enjoyed getting to know the real him! Another hunky O'Malley is on the scene as we meet Cillian. He's dark and drained after past happenings in the family and he's really in need of a change, so when he meets Olivia Rashidi at the neighborhood bar, she's a breath of fresh air. Olivia doesn't like Cillian from the start, but she can't deny he's sexy as all get out! When she finds out his name, she tries even harder to steer clear of him. She's running from her own mob family, so she sure doesn't need to get mixed up with someone from yet another one. When they can no longer fight the attraction, Cillian agrees to the rules dictated by Olivia .. one night, no strings. But when she runs into trouble from her past a short time later, she turns to Cillian for help. Will they get to the point where they are willing to fight their families to be together?

This is book # 3 in The O'Malleys series. This book can be read as a standalone novel. For reader enjoyment and understanding, I recommend reading the series in order. Olivia and Cillian are flying sparks all over the room when they are both in it. She just does not want to have anything to do with him or his family. Been there, done that. Cillian cannot escape the feeling he has for her. The attraction both physical and other are immediate. He thinks he can talk her into more, little does he know.... Such an amazing story! The characters have a lot to offer since they are rich and deep. I loved that this book held many surprises, and a few familiar faces as well. Good series. I hope we see more and I cannot wait for the next book. ***This ARC copy was given by Netgalley and its publisher in exchange for an honest review.

Hot, damaged hero. Strong, feisty heroine. Rival crime families. Family turmoil. Wow! This was another great read from Katee Robert and I loved this world she has created for the O’Malley family. Cillian O’Malley was just perfect in that damaged hero way. The death of his brother and the turmoil in his family has impacted him so heavily. He’s trying to change his ways, but the scars are deep and his family doesn’t see it…and often it’s easier to let others continue to see you the way they want. He was such an enigma and I loved that he was content to make his own choices and decisions, even if they landed him in trouble. He shields himself with his three-piece suits and smart mouth, but underneath he is just trying to hold himself together. Olivia was one of those women that you really want to see find her happy ever after. She’s had a miserable life, growing up ostracized from her family, never having a real mother or father. She’s finally escaped her family’s clutches, having fled with her baby to start a new life outside of the organized crime family she was born into. She’s got some real trust issues, especially since it’s not just herself she has to look out for, but her 14-month old daughter as well. So it’s no wonder that Cillian O’Malley sets all her alarms off since he can’t be anything but trouble. And then when her past catches up with her and brings danger to her door, she knows she has to do what she can to keep her daughter safe, even if that means trusting a man like Cillian. The chemistry between Cillian and Olivia was hot, but what starts off as a physical release turns into something that slowly heats up to more than just a physical thing. And between the baggage they each carry and the improbability of a relationship ever working out between them because of who they are, these two seem to have no chance at being together. Of course when Cillian turns out to be nothing like Olivia expects… I loved the backdrop and world that Katee Robert has created. It’s rough, dark, and gritty, but the characters are defined by so much more than that. As usual, the author delivers a read filled with emotion and great dialogue, and is perfectly paced to have you turning the pages while savoring every word. As part of a series she has woven in the stories of other members of the O’Malley family, setting up future stories and continuing to develop the characters from the past stories in the series, which allows you to see the impact of the choices they have made. My only issue with this book was the portrayal of Olivia’s daughter Hadley. First, her age and actions didn’t quite match up for me…I can’t point to one single thing, but it felt like her actions should have made her older. And although she was cute, and I loved watching Cillian try to figure out the whole kid thing, for me there was just something about her that seemed more like a plot tool than a full member of the cast. Although this is a series and I have not read the first books, I didn’t have any trouble jumping in on book 3, but I will definitely be going back to read the first two books. I can definitely see where reading this series in order would help with some of the backstory, but it was easy enough to catch up and enjoy this book on its own since the author does a great job giving enough history to keep you reading forward. Another great read from Katee Robert that I would definitely recommend! I received a copy of this book via NetGalley

My favorite of the series so far! Cillian O'Malley is the third brother in his family, and would be the first to tell you that that means in many ways that much of the pressure is off of him. He's not the heir, or next in line to be the heir. Up until their youngest brother Devlin's death, Cillian was a party boy and ne'er do well. Since then, though, he's taken over managing the family's finances, frequenting the bar where the four brothers spent their last night together, drinking nothing stronger than apple juice and suffering from panic attacks. In his family's eyes, though, he's still the family screw-up. Sure, he's taking on responsibility now with the books, but they're all still quick to get on his case for being an irresponsible slacker with everything else. And Cillian doesn't bother to correct their assumptions. Spending so much time drinking alone in Jameson's has put him right in the path of bartender Olivia, though, and despite the prickly exterior she shows to the world, Cillian is drawn to her. Olivia's got her own secrets, however, and knowing Cillian's family situation, wants nothing to do with him. Okay--maybe one thing. One thing they take care of up against a wall in the alley behind the bar. But that'll be it. Really. (Of course not really--you knew that was coming, right?) I loved Cillian and Olvia's story! They're both fantastic characters with difficult backstories and all kinds of conflict--plus, undeniable chemistry. Olivia's relationship with her daughter Hadley was one of my favorite parts of the book--and when Cillian was getting to know her too? Total single mother catnip. So. Good. I can't wait to see more of these two (three!) in future series books :) Though in general I'm not a huge fan of "mob books", Ms. Robert does a fantastic job of drawing us into the dangerous underground they inhabit without either going overboard with the melodrama or overly romanticizing the lifestyle. The O'Malley siblings feel trapped by their situation, and we both feel their pain and the love they have for their family. There's been a point (or several!) in each series book so far where I was sure that she wouldn't be able to believably bring the hero and heroine together, but somehow she manages to pull it off in the end--although more often than not there's some degree of bloodshed involved. An Indecent Proposal could be read as a standalone, though having read the first two books ( The Marriage Contract and The Wedding Pact ) will definitely give you a better understanding of the family as a whole and the ways in which the O'Malleys are connected to and in conflict with the other families in the Boston area. Cillian explains much of the background to Olivia, though, since she's essentially and outsider, so if you haven't read them (or it's been a while) you won't be lost. Sloan's book is next--can't wait! Rating: 4 stars / A- I received a complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review.

Another O’Malley book means a sexy, mob romp. This one revolves around Cillian – middle child of the O’Malleys. So he isn’t as plagued as some of his older siblings, but he has the weight of his obligations to his family none the less – he’s the money man for the family. When he meets Olivia – he can’t get her out of his mind. He keeps going back to the bar – not to drink, but to interact with her. Olivia knows about mob ties all too well – the Russian mob that is. So she recognizes the O’Malley name and knows she needs to stay far away from Cillian, especially if she wants to continue to protect her daughter from the mob life. However, no matter how hard she tries – she doesn’t seem to be able to do it. This one continues with hot sex and intrigue. When Cillian has to protect Olivia – things really heat up. Does he put his woman ahead of his family? Will the Russians return to complicate the O’Malley’s life further? This book has a little bit of everything – did I mention the steam factor? I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

An Indecent Proposal is the 3rd book in the O'Malleys series and WOW was it a great addition!! I loved Cillian! He was an intriguing character in the previous books and I was dying to find out what made him tick in this one. He is so broken! I am so hooked on broken men. They need some hard core lovin'! Olivia is a very strong woman and she is just right for him even if it is SO wrong in everyone else's eyes. So much is happening in this book. A lot of side stories, set ups for future books. This is one so not to be missed. These characters are very dynamic and even ones from previous books keep popping up. This series is one that is hard to forget. This book was so hard to put down. I highly recommend it if you love mob romances, hard core lovin', broken men, and so much more!

Complex but clear read Though traditionally I am not a fan of mob genres this book caught my attention. It could of been the great cover or synopsis but for whatever reason I decided to read it, I sat mesmerized throughout the book reading it in one sitting. Cillian and Olivia are like oil and vinegar and the author does a superb job of keeping this sexual tension throughout the story. Cillian's character shows a broken man in the inside who has no clue what his life is about while from the outside he has it all going for him. Being inside his head really sparked my compassionate side and drew me to him with a desire that he would be able to find happiness. Olivia was full of spunk and her no nonsense "I will survive" personality won me over to her side. She is shown as strong, loving, compassionate with those she trusted as well as tough and a survivor. She is quick to make decisions and if they are wrong to correct them as soon as she can. This is an unusual love hate story as it involves lots of mob families jocking to be number one but all intertwined by loves in other mobs. I know the reader will love this story and I give it 4-1/2 STARS for being a complex but clear read. A copy was gifted in exchange for an honest opinion via Netgalley.

As the third story in the O'Malleys series, An Indecent Proposal has a hard act to follow, with the first story in the series, The Marriage Contract getting a well deserved 2016 RITA nomination and the second story, The Wedding Pact just as exciting and explosive as the first. You'd think all the cats would be out of the bag by now, but that's not the case at all. With the Romanov family seemingly becoming entrenched in the Boston mob scene, it's Olivia that gets to be the heroine here, in the definitely unwanted spotlight. Raising her daughter on her own and trying to stay clear of the Russian Mob headed by her half-brother, she's definitely not interested in getting involved with a guy that's going to lead her down the not so garden path. But Cillian O'Malley has his eye on her, and knows that she's hiding something besides a killer body under her cool facade. Hot alley sex ensues, with Olivia making it clear that there cannot be anything resembling a relationship between them. But while Cillian may not have ever styled himself as anyone's white knight, especially after the death of his brother that he fully believes is his fault, he's not going to abandon Olivia when she obviously needs help. Olivia gives him a reason to stand up to his family and ensure his rightful place in the O'Malley empire. I thoroughly enjoyed this story, and the slow revelation of Cillian's character. As a secondary character in the previous books, he was an enigma and I couldn't get a fix on him.. He really shines in this story, his analytical quick thinking mind and his capacity to provide the love and affection (and sex, let's not forget that!) that Olivia needs, making him a definite match for her. He is one of the good guys despite his upbringing, and though he sometimes seems to have a softer side, in a pinch he has the necessary skills and drive to defend them both. There's a fair amount of action in this story as Olivia is on the run from her brother and her ex Sergei whose taken it into his head that Olivia is his by right and he wants her back. There are some sweet scenes with Olivia's young daughter, both with her and with Cillian that show he's cut out for father material. Along with the romance between Cillian and Olivia, the other O'Malley siblings get a decent amount of page time, with Sloan deciding to abandon the family politics altogether (leading to some very interesting scenes that hint at her story to come) and Keira causing mischief for everyone around her. Not to mention Aidan, their father's right hand man who looks to be more and more following in their father's footsteps. I love the glimpses of this dysfunctional family with all their flaws and challenges. Cillian has won me over though, and might just be my favorite hero to date. I can't wait to see where the story goes next!

Before The O'Malleys series, I had no idea how much I loved mafia romance. It reminds me of how my friend Jamie describes herself as a feminist who likes to get pushed around. These books make me wish I could fall in love with some Boston Irish mobsters, although with less violence and killing, of course. Each book in this series gets better and better and An Indecent Proposal blew me away. First, I loved the "will they, won't they" nature of Cillian and Olivia. Olivia has valid reasons for not getting involved. (Sidenote: I normally don't like children in my romance novels but I really liked Olivia as a single mom trying to do right by her daughter and make sure she had a different childhood.) Second, consent plays a major role throughout the novel and it was handled so well. I loved how Cillian deferred to Olivia on everything, including what information he could give his family and whether he could approach her daughter. Third, the character growth and depiction of grief was just stellar and also laid some groundwork for the next couple of books. I cannot wait to see what Robert does next! Disclosure: I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I loved Cillian and Olivia! Absolutely loved them. I opened the pages of this book with the intention of only reading a couple chapters and I was hooked! I stayed up all night reading and drooling over Cillian. I missed the second book in the series and I just grabbed a copy because I have to keep up with the family, their stories are just that gripping. What I love the most is how real Olivia and Cillian feel to me. I connected with both characters, I ached along with them, and cheered when they were happy. It is rare I read and I am so invested in the evolution of both characters, but for this book I was and that made me really happy. Overall An Indecent Proposal was a very sweet yet gritty and emotionally charged read and I recommend.

AN INDECENT PROPOSAL is the third installment in Katee Robert’s contemporary, adult THE O’MALLEY’S erotic, romantic suspense series focusing on three warring underground families of Boston’s Irish mob, and the Russian mafia run by the Romanov family. This is Cillian O’Malley, and single mother/bartender Olivia Rashidi’s story line. AN INDECENT PROPOSAL can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty but I recommend reading the series in order for backstory and history between the characters. Told from dual third person perspectives (Cillian and Olivia) AN INDECENT PROPOSAL focuses on the forbidden relationship between bad boy Cillian O’Malley-the O’Malley clan prodigal son, and Olivia Rashidi-the half sister of Dimitri Romanov-the man in charge of the Russian mob. Olivia is on the run; a single mother to an eighteen month old child, whose father is a member of the Russian mob. When the Romanov family demand Olivia return to the family fold, our heroine seeks out Cillian O’Malley-the man who currently warms her bed, and a man whose history with the Romanov family is fueled by deceit and death. What ensues are Cillian’s attempts to protect the woman with whom he is falling in love, and the search for the people skimming from the O’Malley funds. The relationship between Cillian and Olivia is one of forbidden romance between two families of the Boston mobs. The O’Malleys are still grieving the murder of Devlin O’Malley, and none more so than Cillian who takes the death more personally than the others. Olivia is a woman determined to protect her young daughter from a father whose life in the Russian mob is dark and dangerous, but in doing so jumps from the proverbial frying pan into the fire when she is dependent upon the Irish mob for protection. The $ex scenes are intimate and provocative. There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including most of the members of the O’Malley clan and the men who work for the family. We are reintroduced to Dimitri Romanov-Olivia’s half brother-and learn about some of Olivia’s history with the family who wanted nothing to do with her when she was young. The world building focuses on the fractured relationship between the Irish mafia and the Russian mob. Cillian and Olivia’s romance should have brought the two sides together but too much bad blood has passed to make things right. AN INDECENT PROPOSAL is a fast paced, intriguing story with deceit and betrayal; heartbreak and family; grief and retribution; falling in love and letting go of the past. The premise is imaginative and intoxicating. The characters are passionate and intense; the romance is forbidden but dynamic. Katee Robert’s THE O’MALLEYS is an engaging, wonderful and thrilling romantic suspense series focusing on power, control , and the families of the Boston Irish and Russian mobs.

This series just keeps on getting more enthralling! I’ve really enjoyed every book in it which I’ve read so far, including this one. It is great to catch up on what has happened to the other members of the O’Malley family whilst this action packed Boston mob families saga continues. This time it is Cillian O’Malley that is the troubled brother who is the focus for this instalment . . . he has been changed dramatically in attitude and behaviour after his beloved younger brother was assassinated in a gangland/mobster feud. He no longer drinks alcohol, suffers from flashbacks and none of his family seem to recognise the changes in him or support him, denigrating his input and undermining his efforts. To escape their influence he goes to the local bar where Olivia Rashidi works, unaware that she, too, is from a mob family – but her family are the Russians not Irish! Whilst trying to reject his advances, Olivia ends up coming to his rescue and both find resisting their mutual attraction impossible. However, Olivia’s half brother and her ex are both wanting to bring her back to their family and her ex is something of a loose cannon, you’re never quite sure what he may do next. Get ready for mob warfare to take on a new guise, with undercover activities, threats, a kidnapping and multiple murders as well as romance in this brilliant addition to the saga. The characters are complex, the plot is never straightforward, there are dangers throughout – even to a kind elderly lady – and the writing superb. I have no hesitation in highly recommending this novel and all the other books in this series – I can’t wait to read more about Sloan in the next book in the series! Many thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley, too, for providing me with an ARC of this novel in exchange for my honest review.

***Review posted on The Eater of Books! blog*** An Indecent Proposal by Katee Robert Book Three of the O'Malleys series Publisher: Forever Publication Date: August 30, 2016 Rating: 4 stars Source: eARC from NetGalley ***Warning: this is an adult book, and for the eyes of mature readers*** Summary (from Goodreads): Greed. Ambition. Violence. Those are the "values" Olivia Rashidi learned from her Russian mob family-and the values she must leave behind for the sake of her daughter. When she meets Cillian O'Malley, she recognizes the red flag of his family name . . . yet she still can't stop herself from seeing the smoldering, tortured man. To save her family, Olivia sets out to discover Cillian's own secrets, but the real revelation is how fast-and how hard-she's falling for him. Plagued by a violent past, Cillian is more vulnerable than anyone realizes. Anyone except Olivia, whose beauty, compassion, and pride have him at "hello," even if she's more inclined to say good-bye to an O'Malley. While his proposal of sex with no strings seems simple, what he feels for her isn't, especially after he learns that she belongs to a rival crime family. Cillian knows that there is no escape from the life, but Olivia may be worth trying-and dying-for . . . What I Liked: I savored this book as I was reading it. I rarely do that - usually I read a book start to finish at a comfortable pace, and most of the time, I want to read it as fast as possible because the book is that engrossing. This book was truly engrossing, but also one of those books that you want to savor as you read it. It was pretty great! Olivia Rashidi has escaped from her Romanov family in New York, and is currently in Boston with her fourteen-month-old daughter. She works at a bar, where the handsome and devilish Cillian O'Malley frequents. This bar is on O'Malley territory, and Cillian is no stranger to the bar. He's been haunted since his younger brother's death, a shell of what he used to be. But he's interested in Olivia, and he knows that she's interested in him too. But she turns him down time after time, and he respects that. But when sparks fly and Olivia acts on her desire for Cillian, things are set in motion. Olivia hasn't escaped the Romanovs - or her ex-boyfriend - as well as she thought. I actually hadn't really read the synopsis for the book, so initially, I didn't know much about the book. I absolutely loved The Marriage Contract, and really enjoyed The Wedding Pact, so reading An Indecent Proposal was a no-brainer. Cillian's story? Sign me up! We meet Cillian in the previous books - he's the fourth of seven O'Malley children, in his mid-twenties, and shouldering way too much blame for his younger brother's death. Devlin was shot when the four brothers were walking home from a bar one night - and they were walking because Cillian was drunk and wanted to walk it off. Cillian takes on a lot of guilt and burdens, and it's obvious that he isn't what he used to be. A former playboy, a man who loved drinking and getting around and enjoying life, was almost defeated, and noticeably so. Cillian has the wounded brooding sexy guy thing going on, AND he's a fancy dresser, with all of his three-piece suits. Gosh I want one of him. I love it when a guy likes to dress nicely. An Indecent Proposal was a bit slow in parts but still an overall great read that I really enjoyed. I loved watching Cillian and Olivia fall from each other. I truly appreciated the fact that Olivia was a smart, fierce, feisty heroine and that Cillian was not only protective but also treated her as an equal partner. I found their relationship utterly charming. That little teaser at the end for Forbidden Promises has me so excited for Sloan's book. I love this series and definitely recommend it but I'd advise you to read it in order as it can be a bit spoilery for the previous books. This is the third book in The O'Malley's series and the second one I have read. It can be read as a standalone. Cillian O' Malley is carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders and it tells. Since his younger brother's murder, he has begun questioning everything about the life he is leading and the world he inhabits. Previously he was all about the girls and the booze, but not so much anymore. New girl in town, Olivia, has captured his eye in a way most girls don't. But she's infuriating, choosing to believe in his rep rather than taking the time to get to know him. However, neither one of them can deny the scorching hot chemistry between them. One moment of passion changes everything and these two fall hot and heavy for one another. At the same time, the power struggle for control of Boston is playing out behind the scenes, with both mains caught on different sides. Olivia wants nothing to do with her half-brother, but he is determined to sink his claws in deep. Olivia was a great character. A determined single mother whose sole wish was to protect her daughter from her destructive ex and her deranged half-brother. She's determined to stand on her own two feet but is forced by circumstance into accepting Cillian's help. She quickly realizes that he's not the man she thought he was, and she starts to open her heart to the possibility of a relationship with him. Cillian is trying to do everything to protect Olivia and her daughter, even if that means going behind his family's back. I enjoyed this book, just not as much as the first one. The plot could've been further developed and I felt the romance happened way too fast. The book came across as rushed in parts. The writing is solid, and the pacing was consistent in the main. I enjoy the world and characters that Katee has created. Overall, I enjoyed it, and it was a decent read, but I wasn't blown away. Actual rating 3.5 stars. Thanks to Barclay PR and the publisher for providing an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

We have Cillian and Olivia who have a great chemistry and are super hot together almost from the beginning of the story. But they are from competing mob families and each has issues with families. Before they get too far into their budding relationship Olivia and her daughter are threatened and go to Cillian for help. So as they are feeling their way to each other they have to deal with ex's and warring mob families. I was quite engrossed in this story. The plot and characters had me wanting to keep reading and not put it down. There was the right amount of sexiness, romance, action and intrigue. I loved Olivia. It takes a lot to leave and go it alone especially with a small child. Then to go against the mob family you want nothing to do with makes a very strong heroine. Cillian is nothing to sneeze at either. He is flawed and carrying around a lot of guilt. But, I love him with Olivia and he just melts my heart with the way he treats and protects Olivia's daughter. Now, I have not read the other books in the series but this can be totally read as a stand alone. Though, there is a setup in this book for Cillian's sister so keep that in mind. I have read many of the books from this Author and she never exception here. 4Stars *I received a copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for a fair and honest review.*

I really love this series. Katee has the amazing ability to keep me coming back for more, no matter what happens. I wasn't really sure what to think about Cillian O'Malley in the prior books. I wasn't even sure I really liked him at all until the way he came through to help out his sister Carrigan in the 2nd book. Thus the issue, that's not really an issue because it's so fascinating, with this series: NONE of the characters are particularly likable on the surface. You have to dig deep to see what's beneath. Cillian has changed a lot since his younger brother's death. He doesn't drink anymore. He doesn't do anything else either, except have nightmares, and sometimes, panic attacks. He is becoming more enmeshed in the family's business, now that he's taken over the books, and it's been the only thing keeping him from the edge. Until Olivia. Olivia is a bartender at a bar in O'Malley territory. The very same one that Cillian and his brothers were celebrating in the night his brother was killed. He keeps coming back there. He can't stop. It doesn't make him happy, exactly, but he somehow finds a little peace there. He sees Olivia and wants her immediately, but she won't give him the time of day. He actually seems to like that about her, so he's intrigued even more. Olivia is the half-sister of one of the O'Malley's out of town rivals, Dmitri Romanov. The reader knows this already, but Cillian doesn't, of course. He pursues her, through her objections. She has a lot of issues in her life, but also, she's no pushover. She's attracted to Cillian, but he's the exact type of man she's sworn to stay away from. A man like her half-brother, whom she hates. She is trying very hard not to be swayed. Sparks fly from there, of course. Cillian starts to show her that he'll come through for her in a way no one ever has before, and she starts to look deeper, just like the reader has to. These books keep me riveted, because they give you *just* what you need, and no more. So, then you're clamoring for the next one. Katee carries that off perfectly every time, and I'm in awe of that. Each time one of them ends, this one included, I'm left sitting there going... Really, that's it?!? But, yes, that's it, because it is exactly what you need and no more, to keep you coming back. The story of each couple ends well, but the overarching story line continues on. This is definitely not your typical romance, and I love that. There's no perfect epilogue, there's no guarantee that all the issues the characters face are gone forever. But they're happy at the end, and you're happy for them, and you CAN'T WAIT to see what's to come. Well, what's to come next is Sloan and Jude, and I, for one, am waiting with baited breath.

Cillian and Sloan’s story was fantastic. Excellent addition to the series. Loved it! There were so many different dynamics at play and they were all woven together perfectly. So much conflict, tension, a lot of different layers, and multiple POV's happening. This was a full, intriguing story that had me turning the page like a mad woman. I really liked Cillian and Sloan. Cillian was fighting demons from his past and trying to move on. It's was almost like he was stuck, wanting to break free. He is just so much more than is seen and I just wanted to hug him. He could be so sweet and sincere. And then there's Olivia, running from a past she can't really run from but staying strong and doing everything she can and the people she loves. There is a lot of tension as they meet but sparks are seriously flying and I love that oil and water dynamic they have in the beginning before they really start to get to know each other. I loved Cillian and Sloan’s barriers breaking down, owning up to past mistakes, and coming to trust one another. It was awesome. There were so may sweet and vulnerable moments but also a lot of heated ones. And there’s a nice amount of heat for sure. They live in a crazy, intense world where there are lots of power plays happening. It's got a very Sopranos-esq feel to it. The O'Malley heirs face so many struggles in this elaborate world. I love that it's from multiple POV's. There are several people we hear from but the overturn isn't quick, so it isn't confusing and I think it really added a lot to the story to get the different views. There was a nice amount of intensity and drama in this. The writing was great, I was totally pulled in. It was very much a page turner for me. That ending, I was seriously on the edge of my seat. There is a nice amount of detail throughout. It’s intense, a bit of violent, and I feel like it's unique. We have our love interests of course and there is an HEA but with the crazy world they live on, there's just so much more at play. I'm complete hooked. This is such great series. Bring on the next book! Complimentary copy received for honest review.

Olivia Rashidi fled New York, her half-brother Dmitri Romanov, and her ex Sergei in search of a more stable life for herself and her 14 month-old daughter Hadley. She’s met Cillian O’Malley, of the Boston crime family, a few times before, and she wants nothing to do with him, or with anything close to any kind of mob. Even though she appears hostile towards him, Olivia finds Cillian very appealingp it’s the world he belongs to that she cannot abide. She can’t understand why he persists in coming to Jameson’s – where Olivia works as a bartender – he only drinks apple juice; Cillian hasn’t drunk any alcohol since the death of his brother Devlin. He might be part of the infamous O’Malleys, but Cillian is but the man in charge of the finances, and he likes it that way; he wants no part of the violence his family is involved in, until he gets up close and personal with Olivia, then there is nothing he won’t do for her. This time, I did not pick this book for the cover, because Katee Robert has me completely under her spell with The O’Malleys! I am not a fan of Mafia romances per se, but this series fits the most important category: spellbinding storytelling, as well as seamless writing, authentic dialogues, and characters you care about. Olivia is a very engaging character, and she feels genuine at all times; her initial dislike for Cillian is for what he represents, not who he is, and when she gives him a chance, sparks fly. AN INDECENT PROPOSAL is, in a way, an odd mix: a very tender romance, super hot sex scenes, amidst the dangerous milieu of organised crime, and in the capable hands of Katee Robert, it all works perfectly. I have been a fan of this series from the very first book, and I am ecstatic to learn that it does not end with AN INDECENT PROPOSAL! Ms. Robert has created such a multilayered world, that The O’Malleys could be with us for a long time to come, and I couldn’t be happier! I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
