Arabella Twigg is a very ordinary girl living with her extraordinary family. She loves her Gran, whilst trying to avoid her brother, Tom, who is always trying to get her into trouble.

Her life is quite boring until weird things begin to happen to her.

Arabella enjoys her history homework at school and when she is learning about Egyptian history one day, she trips over and hits her head, and when she awakes, finds herself suddenly in ancient Egypt, at the time of King Tutankhamun.

There she meets a young Egyptian boy named Imon, whose father works in the Valley of the Kings.

About the Author

Sue Huband was born in Sedgley in the West Midlands. She was educated at Dudley Girls 'High School and subsequently, spent over twenty years teaching in a number of primary schools in the Black Country. Because of ill health, Sue's teaching career ended prematurely, as Deputy Headteacher at Hawbush Primary School in Brierley Hill.

Having retired, she began writing but never lost her desire to inspire and stimulate the imaginations of youngsters who streamed in and out of her Worcestershire home.

In recent years, Sue and her husband David have spent much of their time in the Mediterranean, studying other cultures and legends, in addition to creating the Arabella stories.

Sue and David enjoy spending time with their many friends, often sitting around the kitchen table enjoying a meal. Sue loves cooking and hopes that her meals are more appetising than those of Ivy Twigg, Arabella's mother.
