At Witt's End: A Different Kind of Easter Story
A Christmas Carol meets The Screwtape Letters.

Easter time, 1896, a late winter storm hits Idaho Falls. During this unusual weather, Demond Witt, a cantankerous man in a perpetual foul mood, loses his beloved Angela to the flu. Determine to leave this world behind and follow her into the afterlife, Demond contemplates his demise.

Before Demond commits such drastic actions, Angela returns as an angel and sends him down to hell, showing him where he would end up if he does not change.

While in hell, Demond meets Lorias, a demon who teaches other dark spirits how to drag souls to hell. Through some of Lorias's lessons and from his adventures, Demond discovers how hell operates, and he comes to understand the dangers all mortals face from across the very thin veil separating mortality from perdition.

In the end, Demond discovers the power of Christ's merciful atonement for the salvation of both the living and the dead, especially during this Easter season. He must race the demon, Lorias, back to his body or be stuck in hell forever.

About the Author

Noam dePlume has been married for decades to the same beautiful soul mate. Together they raised a brood of kids who make them proud.

Noam is a deep thinker with a pen. He sees the world from peculiar eyes, pouring his unorthodox perspective into every story and poem he creates. Some of his writings are quirky, others funny, but they always make his readers think.

Noam writes from undisclosed locations (not as ominous as it sounds) because he cannot sit still for very long. This mobility stimulates his creativity and provides new perspectives and insights. He can be found traveling frequently to the solitude of mount living room, or the exotic jungle of the kitchen, or the engaging scenery of the backyard, even the retreat of his office (where he seems to get the least work done).
