Overview

When an Atlantean warrior and a British cat burglar both try to steal the same jewel from the Tower of London on the same night, the sparks will fly. When a power-mad vampire gets to the jewel first, they have to team up to save all shapeshifters ... and the world.

A warrior's mission, a woman's desire...

What could Christophe, powerful Warrior of Poseidon, have in common with Fiona Campbell, prim and proper Scottish illustrator of fairytales by day and notorious jewel thief known as the Scarlet Ninja by night? Answer: The Siren, a legendary Crown Jewel that Fiona has targeted for her next heist. It's said to be worth millions, but to Christophe it's invaluable. For the Siren also happens to be one of the missing jewels from Poseidon's trident.

And the unnatural evil that could destroy them both.

But breaking into the Tower of London is a two-person job, so Christophe and Fiona team up to commit the crime of the century. As newfound passions fire their motives--and cloud their judgment--they realize they aren't the only ones after the priceless gem. A dark force is shadowing their every move, and threatening to shatter their trust with revenge, betrayal, and a haunting revelation about the past.

Christophe, a Warrior of Poseidon, is sworn to protect humanity, but he loathes his duty as he detests the perfidious humans. Still he does his mission well in spite of his personal animosities. His current assignment is to break into the Tower of London to steal Siren, a Jewel of Poseidon, implanted in the sword of William the Conqueror. Christophe quickly discovers he is not the only one breaching the Tower's security. The infamous Scarlet Ninja breaks and enter to steal the Siren too. Not one to allow a male to trump her plan, Scarlet Ninja AKA (in daylight) Lady Fiona Campbell the fairy tale illustrator plans to complete her latest Robinette Hood theft. However, as the pair competes for the gem, a lethal third person breaches the museum taking the sword before the stunned pair can react. Starting with irreverent Christophe's debate with a vampire while sitting on Big Ben over whether Ripper was a vamp too, the latest Atlantis saga is a great entry (see Atlantis Redeemed and Atlantis Unmasked) as a strong romance is enhanced by non-stop action and plenty of jocularity. The cast is powerful and not just the Warriors of Poseidon and their soulmates as London and Atlantis have never swung wilder. Alyssa Day scores big time with this terrific amusing yet action-packed tale. Harriet Klausner

I like the story and plot line. The only things I don't like is how graphic the love scenes are and the profanity. Otherwise, I enjoyed reading this series, and I'm eagerly waiting for the next two stories in the series to come out.

As usual Alyssa Day has done it again. Atlantis Betrayed is a must read for anyone following her Warriors of Posedion series. Action packed with a sense of humor. Subject material is for adult reading only due to the sexual nature of the material.Alyssa Day brings to life the chacter of each warrior in the series. So interesting it is hard to put down once you star reading. The series leaves you wanting more, so that it is hard to wait for the next book to come out.
