I loved the premise of this book. Drake and Serena captured my heart from the beginning. Though their coming together was explosive and quite a long time coming even where the reader comes in. The fix for their situation was apparent fairly early and for as smart as Serena is it took her a long time to come to what, I believe, as the reader was right in front of her. Overall, this was an excellent summer read to get lost in.

I always walk away from a Foster book wishing I could be part of the world she has created. You can't help but to want these characters to be your friends. Drake and Serena have that perfect friend to lovers romance. They have a great friendship that is an even better foundation to start their romance. They each believed friendship was their only option but with a little push in the form a new job they finally have the hope that they could have everything they ever wanted. I love the drive Drake has to get what he wants...Serena. This book was hot and steamy and a perfect read for a steamy summer day.

Friends to lovers and chocolates orgasms are the best This story reminds me of my neighbor excepts the chocolate orgasms. Drake and Serena will melt your heart, laugh out loud and be amazed of their love story. This is another book of the author that I enjoyed reading the most. Both Drake and Serena has big hearts and willing to do everything for family and friends. Drake is a guy whom women should look for in a relationship. He is not only successful but will spoil his girlfriend above and beyond. I loved the setting especially the Cape Cod. It is a bucket list for me. If you loved beach, fun, sexy love story, Bayside Heat is a must read. It is also a beautiful story of fulfilling dreams and how far you can go to achieve it. I am looking forward to reading another book from this series.

I love this book. I am not new to Melissa Foster and have read all the books in this series so. With each book I find myself lost in the amazing friendships, the wonderful relationship, and the beautiful settings. The friendships are so strong and so real that I never doubt that the gals and guys will all grow old together without ever losing sight of each other. The relationships are dreamlike with the trust, the faith, and the love their share with each other. Bayside Heat is the story of Drake and Serena. They have been friends forever, best friends during the last 4 years that they have worked together, and the attraction between them started from the first day they met. In any setting they coupled up, not romantically, but sitting together, being on the same team, just being a pair. The more they are together the more the rest of the group see the attraction, feel the heat, and recognize that they have to be together. There are a few comments but mostly they let Serena and Blake figure it out on their own. I love that there was support, a small push, but mostly it was up to the actual couple to figure out how to get together. In true Melissa Foster style, Drake goes above and beyond winning Serena over. He is the most understanding, loving, accepting, and trusting man yet he is an alpha male with a strong opinion that he isn’t afraid to share. In other words, he is the perfect book boyfriend. Serena is self-assured, knows what her goals are and is not afraid to go after them. When she opens her heart to Drake she gives 100% of herself and never considers looking anywhere else. Bayside Heat is a friend to lovers romance. I could not put it down. Pick up your own copy and beet these wonderful Bayside friends.

Serena is offered the job that will make her career as an interior designer, but she is conflicted about her move to the big city of Boston. Why? Because of those ever longing heartstrings. Drake is her best friend, her partner in crime, and the one that her heart has always longed for, but never had. Drake loves Serena, but has never acted on his feelings, because he's her protector and does not want to stand in her way of getting everything she has wanted. Sexual tension is high and everyone can see it. But why would Drake put Serena through that anguish of having to choose love or career? Do you remember that one love that lingered on in your heart? The one that whenever your mind wandered, it wandered to them and the 'what ifs'. Serena and Drake are the perfect example of that would be, should be couple. Will they give love a chance? If they do can they make a long distance relationship work, or will someone give it all up for love?  Disclosure: At my request, I have received an advance copy of this book for review purposes. I am not being financially compensated for this post, all opinions expressed are my own honest opinion.

I was really looking forward to this one because friends to lovers is one of my favorite troupes. I just loved Serena and Drake together. They have so much history going back to their childhood. That's what brings so much to the book for me. They know the little things about one another no one else really sees. Things get quite steamy between the two and you can see how deep their feelings for one another are. Drake that guy has so many swoon worthy moments when it comes to Serena. That was one of my favorite parts of the book. A thing I love about this series is the group of friends. I always look forward to the parts when they get together. Makes me wish I was part of the group. No everything is going to go smoothly for Serena and Drake because they finally reveal their feelings new chapters of their lives are starting. The balancing act is going to to test them, but do they have the kind connection that can weather the storm? I would recommend this one. The flow of the book is great and had me gobbling it up right to the end. Plus the characters are what truly make this book and series for me.

4.5 Stars Completely gratifying, Bayside Heat, is yet another example of what the talented Ms. Foster can create when she crafts a story and commits it to paper. Drake, our hero, is the book boyfriend of book boyfriends. He's hot, kind, supportive, protective, financially secure, responsible, and a bit alpha with none of the douchbag tendencies some authors like to throw in. Serena is cute and a bit curvy. She's a hard worker who wants to earn everything she gets. With a mother who chases and clings to men, Serena is committed to paying her own way and following the plan she's set out for herself. She's crushed on her best friend Drake since forever and once they finally give in to one another it's unicorns and rainbows and, ultimately, decision time. I enjoyed every minute of this read. If you like contemporary romance that isn’t afraid to heat things up, pull on your heart strings and showcase the benefits of friends who are more like family, this is right up your alley. I received an ARC of this book, from the author, in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Bayside Heat is my favorite of all the Bayside series so far. The chemistry between the lead characters is amazing and jumps right off the pages. Serena is a very independent, stubborn, strong, and determine female character. I really like how brave she is moving someplace new to go after her dreams. Sometimes those big moves don't always pan out the way we expect them to. At least her move wasn't too far away because she loves her close-net friends. Her was always known as temporary, yet Serena held out hope for years for her friend Drake to notice her as something more than sisterly. Drake is swoon worthy. He's cares deeply for his friends and is very loyal. He's bossy, stubborn, and very much the protector. He's willing to let keep his own desires a secret to allow Serena to go for her dreams. He wants her to be happy. Serena leaving finally gets him to open up about how he feels for her. There were times with these characters sexual tension and chemistry that I had to fan myself. Those scenes were very well written. I wish I had a friend group who are as close as the ones in Bayside. The way they pick on each other is highly amusing. Viola is my absolute favorite. She'll say and do anything she wants to. I hope she gets her own story. I received this story as an ARC. I volunteered to leave my review. All opinions are my own.

I love that each book in this large installment can be read as a stand alone so you are never missing anything or feel lost when you pick up the next book. (And even if you read each installment but there has been a gap between books, you aren’t lost because it’s like starting anew!) I love that each book in this large installment can be read altogether and you get to catch up on past, present, and future characters. For example, I recall Drake and Serena from Desiree and Emery’s stories so it’s nice to read Drake and Serena’s story, but also catch up on Desiree, Rick, Emery, Dean, Violet, and Mira’s lives. Seeing as I recall comments from previous books from Drake’s point of view (or I guess more or less Rick and Dean’s point of view); it was nice to have a second view point in this. This was such a sweet read. I love how strong the men try to be, but it never lasts long. And Serena was just as strong with a trunk full of baggage that Drake had already seen her through. They are the best of friends and it makes their coming together that much sweeter. The romance and heat are enough to make you blush, but not enough to make you uncomfortable (in my opinion). I am a huge fan of this series and fall more and more in love with the author, the romance, and the characters with each new book.

Awesome! Loved Drake and Serena's story.

I absolutely loved the heat in this story! The chemistry between Drake and Serena is amazing. I love reading stories where the main characters are completely made for each other! This is the third book in the Love in Bloom - Bayside Summers series, and my absolute favorite. You can definitely read this book on it's own even if you haven't read the first two books. Drake and Serena are both strong people and they have loved each other for a long time. However it's not until a new career opportunity comes for Serena that Drake is forced to make a move. How does this story end? Will Serena pick Drake over her new career opportunity? You'll just have to read this book to find out!

Drake has always had feelings for the beautiful Serena, but of course, he would never let her know. They've been working together for the past four years and when an amazing opportunity for Serena pops up he loves her too much to get in the way.  Since neither of them will act on their feelings Serena decides it's time to move on and take the job in Boston. Even though Drake holds his feelings back he decides that he can't let her go after all.  Drake and Serena's friendship was absolutely adorable, and every time they wouldn't let their feelings get in the way I was like "oh come on now tell each other!" but nope Addison left us waiting. I loved it though! When they finally do tell each other it was the cutest thing ever. I'm always up for a good love story and Addison never disappoints. So, if you haven't already you definitely need to give her stories a shot!

Oh my! Another great book from Melissa Foster! I was so happy to read Serena and Drakes story! Friends to lovers and their finding there way to their happy ever after and along the way we get to see what’s up with the characters from the previous books! Melissa writes beautiful love stories filled with such great chemistry and banter between the characters that you smile and laugh a lot! Highly recommend!

I’ve been very eager for a book about Drake and Serena because although they’ve appeared to just be friends, it’s been painfully obvious that they secretly felt otherwise. Melissa Foster built such incredible emotional and sexual tension between these two as the day approached for Serena to move away and when they finally “connected,” it was well worth the wait. Regarding Drake, once he admitted his true feelings I feel that he did everything about as right as he could. He was patient, understanding, and handled disappoint well when her new job interfered with their plans. He went above and beyond to stay connected despite the distance and was so romantic I wanted to eat him up! I completely respected Serena’s desire to make her own life and career, despite being away from Drake. But I must admit that she frustrated me to death, several times, as she struggled with her tense relationship with her new boss, missing Drake and her friends, and vowing not to run after a man like her mother. Don’t get me wrong, I love her character and loved this book but I just wanted to smack some sense into her several times! In addition to Drake and Serena’s love story, Foster also allows the reader to re-connect with the other wonderful characters, catching up with their relationships and lives. And I’m beyond excited that my favorite character in the series, Violet, will soon be getting her own book! This series is so packed full of love, friendship, and steamy scenes that it is completely addictive. Bayside Heat is yet another example of Foster’s uncanny ability to entertain and connect with her readers unlike any other that I have read. Highly recommend Bayside Heat, as well as, the entire series! I promise that you will be addicted before you finish the first page and if you are not already a Melissa Foster fan (for some strange reason), you will be after this!

BAYSIDE HEAT by Melissa Foster. Well, Ms. Foster had me swooning yet again! Drake and Serena - how I adored these two. I loved Serena's independence and desire to prove herself, yet her vulnerability was sweet and made me love her more. Drake is yummy and sexy and might possibly be up there on my book boyfriend list. Together they sizzle! Ms. Foster's stories and characters always warm my heart and make me smile and laugh. Yet, they are also so touching that I find tears in my eyes - both happy and sad. If you haven't had a chance to read Ms. Foster's work yet, what are you waiting for? While this is a part of a series, Ms. Foster writes so that you can read it as a standalone, although, once you do, I be you'll be hooked and will want to read them all! Hidden, friendship to lover stories have a way of working their way into a special place in my heart. Drake has been in love with Serena for years but he has such a respect for her that he's never let on that he has such deep feelings. There's nothing like a deadline to losing the one you love to push you off the edge of the cliff you've been dangling over. The only downfall - Drake is content with his life and where he's at in all aspects. Serena sees the potential for more in her life. It has the potential to make them phenomenal or could completely tear them apart. Both commit to making this work (after all, they have wasted YEARS on avoiding this!) by way of a long-distance relationship. Good intentions and hard work prove to be only a small piece of the path to a successful relationship. I loved being able to see the story from both points of view. It made me feel more connected to both characters. I felt every desire and twinge of pain as these two took on what seems to be a journey that may not fair well in the end. I have volunteered to share my review and all the opinions are 100% my own.

Serena has worked with her best friend Drake for years, as an interior designer. from more years than that, she's been in love with him. But its time to move to the city and make something of her life. Drake has been in love with Serena since he can remember and the thought of her moving away, kicks him into gear and they have an amazing night together. This is their story of a long distance romance and soul deep, breath taking, all consuming love. It's an amazing story, that I couldn't put down.

If you’re looking for an amazing friends to lovers romance with a touch of humor, a great cast of characters and enough heat to burn the pages...this is it! Serena and Drake have known each other since they were friends in school. They grew up on the Cape along with a lot of their other great friends who still live there. Drake opened a resort with two of his best friends and he also owns several music stores. Selena always wanted to be an interior designer and when Rick and his friends opened the resort, they brought Serena in to get the resort ready. Several years later, she feels like it’s time to move on. She’s spent years fighting her attraction to Drake because she’s sure her feeling are completely one sided, while working side by side with him at the resort and all Drake’s music stores. Serena has always wanted to make a name for herself and had visions of working at a high profile interior design company. When she gets the opportunity to work at one of the top design companies in Boston, she decides to take the job. Unfortunately, Drake has just told her that he’s had feeling for her for years. Drake tells Serena that they’ll be fine and to go for her dream. Boston is just over an hour away so they’ll be able to see each other on the weekends. Serena meets a few nice people at her office but she realizes that the job isn’t what she thought it would be and she misses Drake, her friends, and life on the Cape. When an opportunity arrives for Serena on the Cape, she has to decide if her dream of fame is worth it. I think this has been one of my favorite stories. The chemistry between Serena and Drake had you squirming in your seat, but more than that, their friendships with the other characters was something we all hope to find. I highly recommend this story to everyone!

Melissa Foster always develops characters that I want to be good friends with. Bayside Heat characters are no exception. Serena reminds me a bit of myself. I always set a plan and stick to it. It's only recently I've managed to live a bit more carefree. I sat screaming at her that she needed to put her feelings out there for Drake. She couldn't leave the Cape without him knowing what she felt. There is nothing more frustrating than reading a book where two characters are so meant to be together yet each is holding back out of concern for the other. I sensed this frustration throughout the beginning parts of Bayside Heat. You need to pick up a copy of Bayside Heat to find out how things work out and who follows their ultimate plan for life. I have volunteered to share my review and all the opinions are 100% my own.

Things are really heating up in Bayside with this new instalment from Melissa! I love how her book titles perfectly reflect the story within the pages. Serena Mallery and Drake Savage have been friends since childhood and for Serena she has crushed on him for a long long time, but thinking that he only saw her in a brother/sister type relationship and an almost kiss that he pulled away from when she was in high school. she has put him to the back of her mind and moved on – to her friends she has anyway but the heart knows what the heart wants and her heart wants him. Faced with a wonderful job opportunity that will see her move to Boston and leave her friends and Drake behind, pushed her to tell him how she really feels but what she wasn’t expecting was the same feeling in return – sure she has dreamed of the scenario every night for years and years but now all the cards on the table what will become of their relationship? You will have to read Bayside Heat to find just exactly how they overcome the obstacles they are facing, but one thing I can say is that this that you are in for one steamy ride as these two are meant to be together and one thing Melissa does well is write friends to lovers story lines that are not only passionate but with lovable realistic characters to boot.

Drake and Serena were adorable together! I loved all of their special moments. Their love story captured my heart from the very beginning. The secondary characters were great, as well. I hope Gavin gets his own book!
