About the Author

Gemma's favorite desk accessories for many years were a circular wooden token, better known as a 'round tuit,' and a slip of paper from a fortune cookie proclaiming her a lover of words; some day she'd write a book. All it took was a transfer to the United Kingdom, the lovely English springtime, and a huge dose of homesickness to write her first novel. Once it was completed and sent off with a kiss, even the rejections addressed to 'Dear Author' were gratifying.
After returning to America, she spent a number of years as a copywriter, dedicating her skills to making insurance and the agents who sell them sound sexy. Eventually, her full-time job as a writer interfered with her desire to be a writer full-time and she left the world of financial products behind to pursue a career as a romance author.
Gemma focuses mainly on contemporary and paranormal romance, with an occasional detour into science fiction romance. Her titles are available in digital and print-on-demand at all major retailers.

Gunnar is definitely one dream man! I think I fell in love with him a little, too. Okay, maybe I fell in love with the fantasy. Now, if this story had a hint of danger it would have been perfect for me (I'm a thrill junkie). I received this book free from the author for an honest review, but I also agreed because, frankly, I didn’t want to wait until her book came out on April 7th! Haha! Yeah, I’m a fan of this series and recommend this book (and all the others in this series) to anyone who loves reading romance.

4.5 stars! Charmed once again by Granite Pointe and its characters. The books in this series, while being standalone within the series, are like going back to your home town and visiting with friends and family when read in order. I always seem to be up all night reading them because I can’t bear to put them down. In this latest story, the reader is introduced to one of the local business owners, florist Malin, and reacquainted with secondary character Gunner from book three, Exposed to Passion. We also get to see more of Kerrigan brother Noah and his fun, flirtatious side. The author tackles several difficult subjects well in this story: alcoholism in the heroine’s Malin’s dad, abandonment by a mother as a preteen, and the death of both parents as a teenager—all without an overabundance of angst some authors rely on. This humorous, touching, sexy tale is filled with characters so vibrant, they feel real. One of my notes while reading this story about the hero Gunner says a lot about him. “OMG, a guy who adores babies is way beyond sexy.” And I’ll share one more. “Oooh, giving her what she thinks she wants but being very dominate in letting her know they will revisit her line in the sand. Smexy!” The author nails the teenage sister character—just enough belligerence countered with vulnerability, sadness, and eagerness to please to make her authentic. Kerrigan brother Noah's moved back to town and is the new GM of the town luxury hotel, so I’m hoping to see more of him and his son in a future book. I look forward to seeing more of the hero and heroine in future stories. I’ll never get enough of Granite Pointe and its residents. Don’t wait, come visit Granite Pointe today. Gemma Brocato is definitely on my “must read” authors list.
