I have most of TSO's CDs and then I was browsing in Barnes and Noble and came across this little gem. What can I say. The work is a broad stroke of some of the master's works, shaken not stirred, with original music from the Orchestra. It is lovely and powerful and a tribute to that lost 10th symphony. Oh to be in the room on Meister Von Beethoven's last night on earth......

Excellent rock opera-esque stuff. I'd almost say it is more opera than rock, though, just because of the excellent characterizations. Jon Oliva as the Devil is ecellent. It's great to hear him sing again. The music is very emotionally charged. Highly recommended, especially for fans of Beethoven.

It's a toss up between this and Christmas Eve and Other Stories as the best of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra albums in my opinion, and I'll Keep Your Secrets and What is Eternal are currently my two favorite songs of theirs (although Promises to Keep runs a close third). There was a little less of Beethoven's music mixed in than I expected, but I really like how they used it.

Didn't know Trans-Siberian Orchestra did anything but Christmas music - excellent work! Saw a live performance - this CD did it justice!

Out of all the TSO albums, this is the only one I enjoy. There's no Christmas theme, no school story, just one theory of what drove a great composer to the edge.

I've been a fan of TSO for a couple of years. I heard them in concert in December of 2000 in a small venue in Atlanta. They have a wonderful ability to combine rock with classical music. I heard selections from Beetoven's Last Night for the first time at this concert and purchased the CD the next day. WOW!

This is an excellent recording and we enjoy it tremendously. Would recommend it for anyopne and would be useful to play when there are small children around to introduce them to some of the classical-style musics.

this music enabled me to find myself--i listened and listened --some parts are intense:while others lead me to a quieter place in my heart--it ends with such promise yet i really do think at some point in each life this CD holds a view of oneself******

My friends did not know what to get me for christmas, but they knew I liked classical and Neo-classical music. So they got me this CD. I haven't been able to stop listening to it. If you want to incourage a child to listen to a form of classical, this is the way to

WOW!!! This is the best CD I've gotten of Trans Siberian Orchestra yet. I'm wearing it out! First listen struck me as quite different from past TSO albums, but continued listening has enthralled me. My husband has always said that Beethoven would have written for electric guitars and this album proves that. Amazing dynamics, quality vocal, awesome musicianship (to hear Flight of the Bumblebee on guitar - wow!), and a story to boot. Probably my most favorite album to date.

I loved the CD, You realy HAVE to read the story before listening to the CD in order to get the full effect of the music. Without reading it before listening you just can't understand the music itself. I highly recomend this CD to anyone who likes a great fantasy story and music. It is one of TSO's best works!

This was the first album I heard by tso and it blew me away. You can listen to it all the way through and don't have to skip any songs. It also features ex-Asia guitarist Al Pitrelli and he's excellent as usual.

I love TSO. Their music isn't convientional, but it usually comes across as the soundtrack for my Christmas. I love them.
