Before You is a fast-paced, enjoyable read that you won't be able to put down. If you enjoy mystery novels, you're going to love this book. Cassie is a likeable character who's just trying to lose her virginity, while on spring break in Key West, but she ends up finding something more. Something a lot less fun.

This was, by far, THE worst one of the three. Boring beyond belief, insipid characters & one very lackluster sex scene...near the end, no less. Seriously, don't waist the $, soo not worth it!

I like Jenna Bennett books. Before You was a short, fast read(124 pages). I enjoyed the historical parts about Key West. It did not make me want to read the other two.

Before You by Jenna Bennett My rating: 4 of 5 stars Quinn, Mackenzie and Cassie are three college best friends and are on spring break vacation in Key West. Each book in the Sex on the Beach series focuses on one of these girls. Before You by Jenna Bennett focuses on Cassie and Tyler. Cassie is beyond ready to lose her virginity on this spring break vacation and when she meets Tyler and the sparks are flying, his refusal to come up to her room is a little surprising. She inherently trusts him but something is off with him. Let's add in the suspenseful storyline of... girls that look like her have been raped and can't remember a thing about who or why or how. Tyler could be the one doing it but cassie doesn't think so - so then who is the rapist and why do these girls look just like her? A romance with a twist that will keep you wondering till the end just who is good and who the bad guy is.

This is the first book I have read by Jenna Bennett. I read it because it is part of a series with an author I follow. I really liked the book. It was hard to start with but when it got going it was really good.

First off, it's different from the other two books in the series. One of the difference it that it's only from her POV, while the other have dual POV. The other thing that makes this different is it's more suspenseful, while the other two stories a little bit more fun. So, it might catch you off guard. Other than that, it's still a pretty good read. The romance isn't that strong, and some might feel that it's a bit rush. However, you need to take into consideration they are trying to catch a bad. Overall, Ty and Cassie isn't what I expect, yet the story is still decent.

I was extremely intrigued to read Cassie's story. Things were pretty vague with her in Beyond Me, and I wanted to know more about her and this mystery man who was making her so miserable. I loved that this book was so very different from the others. More a mystery thriller than a romance, it was exciting and quite suspenseful. I was on the edge of my seat, wondering who the culprit was, and as the pieces started to fall into place I kind of had an inkling of who it was, but there was always that sense of doubt. I have to admit, I did suspect Ty for a while there. The way he acted towards Cassie was a little strange and raised many questions. There were a few surprise twists that threw me off guard and that only made this story more enthralling.  I have to admit though, as much as I love a good mystery, I really missed the passion and romance. There was obvious chemistry between Ty and Cassie, but he was always pulling away; with good reason. I just felt that even when things heated up with them, it was lukewarm. Again, this is the perfect spring break read. Not only is it very informative, and any girl planning on getting a little crazy this spring break should really give this book a read, but it was fun in a cloak and daggers kind of way. It complimented the other stories in this series and really offered something a little different. Very enjoyable.

I enjoyed this book, as part of the 3 Sex On The Beach books. The thing I enjoyed the most was that there are 3 different authors so each book as it's own, unique writing style. Cassie & Ty's story could be my favorite because I always enjoy a good "mystery".

Received an ARC for an honest review. Adventurous and sweet. Ty and Cassie had taken romance in a whole new level. After reading Between Us and Beyond Me, I expected the same feels they gave to me for Before You. However, Jenna Bennett swayed a little on a different route and took her story of the Sex on the Beach Series to a new level.  I never expected that I will get thrill and suspense in NA romance as what I had in Before You. This is a good thing. New flavor, and a breath of fresh air.  Though, I found some parts boring because as what I've said, I expected the same. This is a new lesson for me as a reader, never expect and open yourself to twists. For me, the story might have lacked sufficient romance and swoon- worthy scenes and had focused more on the thrill, suspense and detective part. I wished for more. I will still recommend this book to the romance readers because it is very adventurous and it played with my mind--- which is a good thing. Thank you Jenna Bennett for opening another door of my reading knowledge and experience.

Before I start this review, I have to be up front and say I don't read a lot of mystery books. I used to read mysteries almost exclusively while I was growing up, but I've moved away from that in recent years. That's not to say I don't enjoy a book with a hint of mystery – I often really do. While Before You can't fully be described as a mystery, I found that the mystery aspects of the book outweighed the romance and I was a little disappointed.  I liked Cassie. She was real. She didn't play into all the stereotypes and I found her interesting. Ty was sexy and swoony and keeping a secret. A secret I predicted. Cassie and Ty had good chemistry, but I didn't find that it leapt off the pages. That may be because their fling moved at a glacial pace. It's a fling! Get it on already. ;)  All that said, Before You was a very good book. I just wanted more romance. Not sex, necessarily, but sweet romance, flirting... whatever. The characters were likable and I was surprised by the reveal of the person responsible for the attacks. I didn't really see that coming. It was a well-written book and a quick read. It's the first of Jenna Bennett's books that I've read, but it won't be the last.  I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Definitely a different feel from what I was expecting and I really loved that about this book! Ty was super protective and was pretty mysterious up until the very end. We all have our secrets, and I really dug that about him. There was a lot of thought put into this read. Some fun and not so fun scenarios play out for the characters and the twists and turns had me guessing the wrong way sometimes. Plus, we got a few educational lessons along the way! I would recommend Before You to a friend. 4 Stars for me!

After reading Between Us and Beyond Me, I was anticipating this story very much. Sadly, it was not what I was expecting - not even close. Although I enjoyed the history and the mystery that was infused with this story, the romance lacked. Tyler and Cassie's connection was non-existing and their romantic fling was nothing more that a one-night stand, which made the ending unbelievable to me. I understand that the mystery was an intricate part in Cassie and Ty's story, but to not have their connection established, developed and strengthened as the story moved along completely reduced my interest in the upcoming outcome.

Before You by Jenna Bennett is part of three books in the Sex on Beach Series. Cassandra Wilder are down in Key West on Spring Break  looking for fun in the sun and to have a fling.    Cassie believes she finds her Spring Fling when she meets Tyler.   Tyler seems to be a little mysterious.  This story was great it was romance with a twist of suspense.  As you read the story you maybe think one thing and in turn into something different.   I love Cassie she was sweet and wonderful character.  I enjoyed Ty who is mystifying.   I love how the story is told.  It is a must read.

4.5 Stars Cassie is in Key West with her best friends Mackenzie & Quinn. While her friends are out on the town enjoying their flings, Cassie is sitting in a bar waiting for any possible flings to show up. That's when she notices him. Tyler...and his funny T-shirts ¿ A super-sexy and sweet guy who doesn't seem to want to get her into bed - because after a bit of extreme flirting, by her, he only brings her to the door of her hotel room. Hm. The next morning while out for a walk on the beach she sees him again - half naked!!! Jogging! ¿ They walk and talk, but then they find an unconscious and probably raped girl and they need to call the cops.... Tyler still doesn't seem to want to have sex - even though Cassie asked him up to her room. He says he likes her a lot but.... grrrr - she wants to get rid of her virginity!!!! We don't really know what's going on with Ty - he's a bit mysterious!! WHAT WILL HAPPEN??? IS HE SOMEHOW CONNECTED TO ALL THOSE GIRLS WHOSE DRINKS ARE DRUGGED? IS HE A GOOD OR A BAD GUY?? YOU HAVE TO READ IT TO FIND OUT!!!¿ THAT WAS ANOTHER WONDERFUL ROMANCE!!!! A tiny bit disappointing because it was not as sexy as the other 2 - because Ty and Cassie don't really start anything sexy until later on - VERY late - like 5 minutes before the end ;) But it's still a really interesting, romantic, suspensy Beach-Story! There was a bit too much local history told here - it was interesting, but it was too much... but.... I STILL LOVED IT!!!

A nice mystery with a sweet romance mixed in. Jenna Bennett never disappoints. I'm looking forward to reading the other books in the Sex on the Beach trilogy.

I thought this was going to be a very different book. Either way, I really enjoyed it. I am in love with Ty, he's such a stand up guy. I liked Cassie and the mystery was good. I read it until I fell asleep that night and picked it right up and finished it in the morning. It was such a good story. I love the author and this was something different than I normally read from her and her writing style translates to this genre as well. She was true to herself!
