Overview

Beneath the Truth by Meghan March

From New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and USA Today bestselling author Meghan March comes the final sexy standalone set in the Beneath world of New Orleans.

I used to believe there were lines in life you don't cross.
Don't lie. Don't cheat. Don't steal.
Until I learned people don't always practice what they preach.
I turned in my badge and gun and walked away from everything.
Then I got the call no one wants, and I'm back in New Orleans.
What I don't expect is for her to be here too.
Another line you don't cross?
Don't touch your best friend's little sister.
She's always been off-limits.
Too bad I don't follow the rules anymore.

***May absolutely be read as a standalone!***

WOW! I finished this book way to fast as I wasn’t able to put it down! Meghan March is brilliant, but that’s nothing new and everybody who ever read a book by Meghan knows there won’t be a disappointment. Beneath The Truth is Book 7 and sadly the last book in the Beneath Series It’s Rhett Hennessy and Ariel’s story—it contains so much love and chemistry between this two, and what I love is, all this characters from the other books will be there, it’s just fantastic. You can read this book as a standalone but after you read it be prepared you will be hooked and read the 6 other books as you can’t miss them! They are all epic! I never anticipated the twists in this book, I loved it from the first to that last page! Amazing ending with gorgeous epilogs! Beneath the Truth will publish on August 8, 2017. I received an advance reader copy in exchange for my honest review.

I feel like I've been wanting this book forever and Meghan March did not disappoint all. Rhett and Ariel's story was heartwarming and swoon-worthy. I blushed, I laughed and I teared up from page one to the very end. I absolutely loved this book. I'd highly recommend to all my friends. I cannot wait to see what is next from Meghan March. Happy reading :)

What an awesome read! This was the perfect ending for this series. Each book can be read as a standalone, but there is character cross over. In this book, we get Ariel and Rhett's story. This is a falling in love with the older brother tale. When they were teens, Rhett never would have touched Ari, but now that she's back in town, he plans to let her brother know that he has always wanted his sister and now plans to do something about it. When Ari finds herself caught up in a world of trouble she turns to Rhett to keep her safe. Rhett's dad has recently died in what looks to be a suicide. Could Ari's trouble and the suicide be connected? Rhett will keep Ari safe at all costs. This book talks a lot about how people can be either black or white or look at life with some grey. Rhett is all about honor and Ari is more of a gray scale girl. I loved watching their walls crumble. Meghan March does a great job with her characters and I fell hard for Rhett and Ari. I finished the book quickly because I couldn't put it down. Great read! I'm sad the series is over, but I loved how everything wrapped up for the crew.

It took me quite some time to process this masterpiece before I could put my thoughts together to write a review. I was given an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review and here goes - Meghan March honestly blew me away with this book. Book 7 in the Beneath Series is a much awaited, brilliant focused around Rhett Hennessy, former New Orleans detective. He's been such an important part of the Beneath world and finally he gets his own story. Rhett comes home to New Orleans to investigate the death of his father and his best friend's sister Ari is home and more tempting than ever. He tries to resist her as he always has but they both give in and sparks fly for these two. There is passion, intrigue, friendship and of course the Meghan March signature: dirty, off the charts sex. She really has such a talent for making her characters and the world she creates comes alive. I predict Beneath the Truth will be yet another best seller for Ms. March. 5 stars for this phenomenal story.

Where do I even start with this review? It comes as no surprise that Meghan March has written and yet another smash book, I have a feeling this one is not the end but a gateway to another amazing spin off. Rhett Hennessey finally gets his happy ever after, the white knight has turned into a bit of a gray lion, because not all situations can be black or white. Ariel proves that you can be brilliant, sexy, and get the man of your dreams, all while taking over the world one keystroke at a time. There are twists and turns like we have learned to expect from all of Megan's books, these throw you for even more of a loop than in the rest of the Beneath series. All is not as it first appears. As sorry as I am to see this series end, I can't wait to see where we go next!

Sometimes when a series ends, I feel disappointed because I don't think the author did it justice. I feel like it could have been better. That is NOT the case with the Beneath series. The only reason I'm disappointed right now is because I'm going to miss these characters SO so much. Rhett was a huge part of the series early on but he left and we didn't hear from him for awhile. But he comes home when his dad dies. Ari, his best friend's little sister and neighbor, also comes home. Ari is all grown up now and Rhett? Well, he always noticed her. Ari is the perfect leading lady for Rhett. She's smart and spunky. She has no filter. She tells it like it is and she doesn't just take the easy answer. The epilogue of this one, which let us catch up with all the Beneath couples, was also amazing, giving us a glimpse of the lives of them all. I admit it, I cried when I finished this one, knowing it was over. But wow. What a ride.

WOW! Where do I begin? Rhett and Ari...to begin with, if you haven’t read the rest of the Beneath series, you should...like, now. Each story is a story unto itself but this is a great wrap up and you should have the pleasure of the entire build up. Rhett Hennessy has NOT had a great year. His family is in ruins, his career shot, lost the girl...pretty much an epic fail. Enter the girl next door, Ali Sampson, the little sister of his best friend, the girl who stole his heart but was definitely off limits. She is not the same little geek who he remembered. She was the brainy, beautiful redhead that had adored him for years and she was going to be his. So the love story is set. HEA is the goal. But the meat of the story, the in-between drama is so NOT what you expect. Lots of family drama on both sides, some dangerous cartel connections and explosive action(pun intended). Ms. March once again captures your heart with these characters. You invest in them, you feel their pain and you finally rejoice with them in the end, but not without losing a little piece of your heart. Every couple in the Beneath series has faced their own trials but Rhett and Ali definitely take the prize for the most angst. You see the strengths shine through but also see their weaknesses. The facts are there and they both have some difficulties to overcome but there is never any doubt that they will do it together. Loved this entire series and hate to see it end but Ms. March promises there is a future ahead for all of the couples to show up for a cameo in the next series beginning with the story of the mysterious Lachlan Mount. Can we say YES PLEASE!!!!

've been waiting to read about Rhett Hennessy since book one. He's complex, believes in truth and fights for justice. Until, he doesn't. Ariel, his best friends' sister. The one who has always been there. He has to stay immune. These characters have a foundation. It was beautiful to be part of its unfolding. Meghan March always gets better. Thanks for this wild ride.

I absolutely loved this story. I've fallen in love with plenty of Meghan March's heros before, and Hennessy definitely stole my heart, but never have I loved a heroine as much as I do Ari. I love a strong heroine, and all of this author's heroines are strong. But Ari was not only strong, she was funny, nerdy, brilliant, and gorgeous to boot. I loved the banter she shared with Erik and Esme. I loved how she lacked a filter and said whatever came to mind. And I loved that she was a CEO of a huge company, and that she did it all on her own. I loved the glimpse of Hennessy that I got to see in Beneath these Lies, and I missed seeing him in Beneath the Shadows. It was great to see him finally get the girl - and one that was so perfect for him at that. I loved that, although Ari had a thing for him since childhood, he hadn't exactly been oblivious of her like she thought. The Truth that they searched for together could have torn them apart, but in the end they found strength to get through it all. My heart was racing so much during this book, and I was continually on the edge of my seat as the suspense kicked up notch after notch. This is the seventh book in this series, and it's sad to see one of my favorite series come to an end. The epilogue was so wonderful I was nearly in tears. I wish this series could go on forever, because I don't think I'll ever get enough of these amazing characters. I can only hope they'll continue to pop up in future books.

Beneath The Truth is the seventh and final book in the series which is really sad!! This was amazing. I have always been curious about Rhett and if he would ever get a HEA and this book did not disappoint! I loved Rhett and Ariel. Their chemistry and love was amazing. There were many twists and secrets that were shocking and I did not expect!! I loved seeing all the previous characters and I LOVED the epilogue! While I am sad to see them go, I am very curious about a certain new character and the stories coming!!

How can I put into words all that I am feeling upon finishing Rhett and Ariel’s book? I am going to try really hard to convey how much I loved this book and the entire series. I have been a fan of Ms. March’s when I discovered her book, Beneath This Mask; after reading that one, I devoured the other six. With Beneath The Truth, we are brought back to the beautiful city of New Orleans to delve into Rhett’s life. Rhett has always been a complex character for me, always there, trying to find his HEA and never getting it, only to have his world blow up in his face; to then having to figure out what his meaning of life is and where. Ms. March’s ability to draw a reader in and make you, the reader, feel as if you are walking the streets with the characters has always impressed me. I loved how the relationship of Rhett and Ariel was brought to light. I was there with them from the very beginning to the very end, feeling every emotion they felt. My heart raced, my anxiety peaked, I wanted to jump in say NO, don’t go there!!!!! Or YES!!!!! This was an amazing and epic end to such a fantastic series of books/characters. I’m sad to see the end of the Beneath Series, but looking forward to what’s next.

Beneath The Truth by Meghan March is another great 5 star read in her Beneath series!! I haven't yet read all the books in the series but the ones that I have had the pleasure of reading have been fantastic and I can't wait to get to the ones I've missed. In this seventh book of the New Orleans based series we get the story of Rhett (my favorite name) Hennessy who is drawn back to his hometown after tragedy has hit his family leaving utter destruction in it's path and filling Rhett with more questions than answers. Although Rhett feels his mission is to uncover the truth behind his families secrets, maybe the real truth or most important truth lies within himself and realizing "that things happen when and how they're supposed to". Ariel Sampson is " the girl next door, Rhetts best friend's little sister, a woman off-limits....", but she is now a rich, confident, "sexy little genius" who thinks her lifelong crush on Rhett will never be more than just fantasy. You can feel the heat between Rhett and Ariel that just sizzles every time they get near one another, their chemistry is off the charts with the years of wanting and resisting each other becoming out of control and undeniable!! The loyalty, honesty, and determination of these two strong willed characters helps them to survive the betrayal of their loved ones and never lose faith in one another, finding that "separately, we were two broken people struggling to make sense of things, but together, maybe we could heal each other". This story was intense with gripping suspense that kept me guessing until the last chapter and a beautiful feel good romance that had me all mushy.....plus that epilogue was amazing especially for fans that have been with the series from the beginning!!!

Good things come to those who wait. Rhett's book is the last one in Meghan's Beneath series and it's bittersweet oh AND Super Panty melting hot (that's a given .Duh) His heroine Ariel is actually a part of his beginning and I love how even with the passage of time you can clearly see they had unfinished business. Their chemistry is explosive. I have such a girl crush on Ariel! she's an uber rich, sexy sassy NERD! Swoon! And I've loved Rhett since we first met him a couple books back. Finally we get to watch him get his girl! Of course this book also has mystery, suspense, and chock full of little cameos of our fellow hotties and their lady loves from Voodoo Ink! Their Epilogue's Clinched it!

Meghan March really does know how to end a series, this book has got it all. Hot romance and a mind blowing plot! Rhett is the ultimate alpha, he's everything you want and need in a man and he's not afraid to show his feelings. Ariel is just divine, she's a strong women with a heart of gold. These two couldn't be a better match. They both have a strong work ethic and are loyal to those they love and will do anything to help them regardless of he situation. The plot itself is full and complex and I definitely recommend going in blind. There's so many twists and turns Meghan really does keep you on your toes. We get to catch up with previous characters which is alway a must when a series is ending and it's done perfectly. Normally when a series ends I'm full of questions about other characters but this is done so well your left completely satisfied. Well done Meghan, you couldn't of done a better job!

Take a bow, Meghan March. That is how you conclude a series. I absolutely LOVED Beneath the Truth. The seventh and final book (*tear) in the brilliant Beneath series, was nothing short of astonishing. A super sexy, suspenseful and addicting read with twist and surprises that held me captive the entire time. In true Meghan March fashion, she provides the heat with with her outstanding characters. Rhett Hennessy and Ariel Sampson share a connection that can't be measured. They are smokin' hot together. The forbidden factor - Ariel is Rhett's best friend's little sister - brought a delicious element to the story. I can't get enough of this book! I was so excited to finally have Rhett Hennessy's story. If you've read the previous books, (Beneath the Truth can 100% be read as a standalone.) you know Detective Rhett Hennessy was hit with jarring news that caused him to turn in his badge and walk away from everything he's always known and believed in. In Beneath the Truth, a year later, an unexpected and painful event has him back and seeking answers. Meghan March kicked up the swoon factor with Rhett Hennessy. I've always had a soft spot for Rhett. This book has transformed that soft spot into a full force intense mega crush. I don't think it's possible for me to love him any more than I do right now. Who wouldn't love a sexy, determined, protective alpha. Damn you, Ariel. You lucky lucky woman. Speaking of of Ariel. She is no slouch herself. I love a strong female character and Ari Sampson fits that description to a T. Incredibly smart. Very successful. Super sassy. She can hold her own. LOVE it! You can understand why Rhett would be so taken by her. My favorite thing about most of Meghan March's books are the elements of mystery and suspense she creates. I swear one second you're convinced you know how everything will turn out. Then something happens that catches you off guard and you're dying to find out what happens next. Beneath the Truth had some turns that had me audibly gasping "what?!" and "No!" God. I love this book so much! I am a ginormous fan of the Beneath series. So I'm a little bummed that it is coming to an end. I'm not ready to say goodbye to these amazing characters. That being said, Meghan March knocked it out of the park with Beneath the Truth. I could have easily read it in one siting but I had to force myself to slow down and appreciate what amazing job she. She gave this series the ending it deserved. My goodness! That epilogue alone is perfection. Trust me you are not going to want to miss this one. It so damn good!

Beneath The Truth by Meghan March is the seventh book and the conclusion in the Beneath Series. This is Rhett and Arial´s book. First let me tell you, I´m so so happy that Rhett gets his own story, thank you so so much Meghan March. Rhett is a former detective , now he works as a PI and does only his job, nothing more, nothing less. He´s a good guy, but the familie´s reputation is bad. After a long time away he´s now back in his hometown. Ariel grew up with the Hennessy boys, she had a crush on Rhett for forever. Now she´s a successful CEO and computer wizzard. Now,that they could be together everything could be sunshine and roses, but no, oh no. There is so much more. Nothing is as it´s seems, nothing. They are two broken people, but together they could heal each other. Meet old friends from previous books. Have a look at their lives and loved ones. I loved all books in the Beneath Series, but this is my favorite read. The writing is great, I love the story and the characters. I laughed loud- so sorry- not sorry Ari; but I laughed along with your assistants about " the incident". I could feel the characters emotions in the words. I recommend Beneath The Truth and give 5 stars. Thank you Meghan March !

The first Meghan March novel I ever read was Beneath This Mask in January of 2015, and it was the beginning of my love affair with her writing in general and the Beneath series in particular. Now, like all love affairs, there have been ups and downs, but there was one constant--I was desperate for Rhett Hennessy's story to be told. Heck, when he first came along, he was simply known by his last name and seen as the law enforcement officer who played by the rules, even if it meant coming up against certain intimidating alpha males in his hometown of New Orleans. And then one devastating revelation causes Rhett's world as he knows it to shift, leading him to leave everything behind. With one phone call, though, he knows the time has come to make his way back home, and this time, through all the loss and lies, Rhett is intent on finding answers. What Hennessy doesn't expect to find is love. I won't get too much into the story because I don't want to inadvertently mention a spoiler or two. If you're familiar with the series, then Rhett Hennessy should be no stranger as is what led him to hand in his badge and service firearm when he left the police department. You'll also remember how his connected with the rest of the Beneath crew, especially when it comes to Beauregard "Rix" Hendrix and his now-wife Valentina. Suffice it to say that I'm glad Rhett finally finds that one person that was always meant to be his--Ariel Sampson, his best friend's younger sister, three years their junior. This wasn't your usual falling-for-your-best-friend's-sibling story either. The author employed, once again, that perfect mix of romance, sex, mystery, and suspense that's made this series such a favorite with fans and readers alike. Throw in a well-loved trope and giving that March touch and you have magic. As someone who's read all of March's books, she knows her readers well, giving them alpha male characters that are strong but have that sensitive side waiting to be unearthed. And that's where the strong females come in. While they may have trouble nipping at their heels, the women of these series are neither helpless nor hapless. With Rhett and Ariel, you get those expected elements along with a quirk or two to make them uniquely Beneath. I loved how geeky yet confident Ariel was and how stoic yet sweet my dearest Rhett was. Yes, MY Rhett. He piqued my curiosity when he first appeared in Beneath This Ink and I've had a thing for the guy since then. Meghan March gave him--and Ariel--a story I couldn't put down, knocked me for a loop with her plot twists, and ultimately, gave this wondrous series the five-plus-star send-off it deserves. Can YOU handle the truth? Beneath the Truth, that is. ♥

WOW!! What a HOT book!!! This was absolutely amazing. Rhett Hennessey is a perfect book boyfriend. Rhett is loyal and a really good man. He is back in New Orleans because of a text message that he knew this time he could not ignore. He dreads being there again but he knows he has to be. Ariel Sampson is Rhett’s best friend Heath’s little sister and she has always had a crush for one man and now she knows that he is off limits and she is in New Orleans for a reason and she is going to do her best to avoid that man at all costs. This book is scorching hot. Meghan is so extremely talented and I am thankful for that because when I pick up one of her books I know that it is going to be good and I will love every minute of it. If you haven’t read it what are you waiting for? Go get it. Amazing…

Meghan March worked her Magic in Beneath the Truth, book 7 in her Beneath series. First she drew me in by making me fall even more in love with Rhett Hennessy. He has been known throughout this series as the man of honor and loyalty, for being black and white. But when he leaves his badge behind, he suddenly finds himself in a world of grey. Next, Meghan introduces Ariel Sampson, the brilliant girl next door you can't help but fall in love with. Her idiosyncrasies make her perfect for Rhett, not to mention that she has had a life-long crush on him, as he is her brother's best friend. To top it off, Meghan March is completely diabolical in her abilities to twist the plot. She had me sitting on the edge of my seat, devouring this entire book in nearly one sitting. I couldn't put the book down because I HAD TO KNOW what would happen next. I was entirely consumed with finding out the truth in this story and I could not rest until it was resolved. The woman has talents beyond her years at creating the perfect amount of angst, compassion and off the charts chemistry. I am sad to see this series end, but knowing Meghan I'm not quite sure these characters have been put to rest entirely. I am beyond excited to see minor characters introduced from this series, get books of their own in the future. (Well, she has revealed one already, but I can only hope for others- and I will be keeping my fingers crossed for those Hennessy brothers.) The way she tied this series up was spectacular. She has created a world I never wanted to leave, but has completely done it justice at the same time. Thank you Meghan March for another amazing read. I can't wait to see what you have in store for us next!

Beneath The Truth - Beneath Series Book 7 by Meghan March - 5 stars Well, what a way to end a series. While this is Book 7 in a fantastic series, it can absolutely be read as a stand alone. The secondary characters are all explained in enough detail that you won't feel lost when reading them. I don't want to give anything away so I will just say this: This is the story of Rhett & Ariel. Their story has a bit of mystery, a bit of suspense and a whole lot of heat. Rhett is a former detective who is smoking hot, has an air about him that demands attention and a love for his family that is an overriding factor in his decisions. Ariel is a flipping genius millionaire (IT'S ABOUT TIME A GENIUS MILLIONAIRE IS A WOMAN, JUST SAYING) who is quirky and odd and powerful and someone who is not to be messed with. The complement each other in ways neither could have imagined. I loved their story. I loved the fact that we get to see previous characters to the series (if you haven't read them, don't worry - you will absolutely want to go back and read about all the fabulous-ness of the "Beneath" series). It was the perfect wrap up to one series and lead in to the next. Nice job Ms. March. YOU ROCK!!!!

WOW!!!!! This is a complete grand slam out of the ball park!!!! From the very first chapter until the last page, this book was a huge page turner! Rhett Hennesy is a total lady killer but his lady, Ariel.....shew! She's my favorite character!! There were so many facets about her personality and I loved them all!! The storyline was just freaking incredible and when you think you have it figured out... nope! So many emotions I went through reading this. And that epilogue.... it completely ties the whole series up beautifully!! If you loved the other stories... then you'll absolutely love this one!!

5 PHENOMENAL STARS!!! I knew from the start that Hennessy would steal heart (see what I did there;) Ari is my homegirl. I friggin' love her! Sassy, smart and sexy as hell. Just how I wanna be when I grow up! This story pulls you in page one, it's fast paced and definitely keeps you guessing. It'll make you laugh, cry and want to punch people in the face (at least it did for me). Not only did I adore Ari & Rhett's amazing story, I also got closure on the whole gang. THAT EPILOGUE! It was so perfect. I wouldn't change one thing about it.
