Cesar Hawks is back at it!!! I was very excited to read this book and going to hear and see from some of his family Ophelia and Cooper! It is always amazing to me to look back at some of the earlier novels and piece together information. Also in this amazing novel, you see more of the love triangle(or maybe not so triangular) with Izzy and Fritz. Reine continues to amaze me with the depths she takes all her novels and series. Cesar’s character grows a bit in this novel. He is usually quite the smart ass which I love about him. But he is also cautious of the things that he involves himself in, unless it involves those that he cares about. I was really hoping to read more about Cesar and Suzy, and hoping that storyline takes off a bit more. Of all Reines books and characters in this world she has created in that beautiful mind of hers, I think Cesar is the one that needs to most Work. I absolutely cannot wait to learn more about all of these people are the odd relationships that they have, and how they come together in both this book and all of the others. I was given an ARC in exchangfe for an honest review and I honestly.loved it!!
Page turner from the beginning to the end. Caesar is one of Sara's characters i have a love hate relationship with, an excellent story that brought a lot of answers to Sara's pre-genesis time. Even though nothing ever seems to go right for Caesar he always seems to come out on top eventually. I received an Arc copy of this book for an honest review.
This will be a difficult (and short) review for me to write. Despite the fact that this book has a great plot and well written story, I just don't like Cesar. I can't put my finger on it but I refuse to like him. I also think that this is my first OPA book despite this being book 8. Other series' of SM refer it to it often so I understand how things work but I don't really know if I'd go back and read the others. Overall the book is decent. I love the plot twists and the pacing. It really keeps you interested, but I just wish I could get around having to deal with Cesar. This book given by SM Reine in exchange for an honest review.
