Dante Gabriel is starving. What he craves is red gold--human blood. After being held captive as a blood slave to a female vampire for years, he has finally escaped. Unchained at last, he follows his nose to the nearest blood bank to sate his hunger.
ER nurse Erin Hamilton expects just another busy night shift...until she finds a gorgeous stranger vandalizing the hospital blood bank. Though her logic tells her to turn him in, she's pulled by stronger and unfamiliar emotions to protect the man who seems oddly infatuated with her scent. Chemistry sizzles between them, but Dante, plagued by nightmares of his time in captivity, fears he won't be able to control himself...especially when he discovers a secret she doesn't even know she's hiding.

Not usually a fan of vampire books, but Helen Hardt has changed my mind. Modern story that grips you from the start. Thoroughly enjoyed.

I am going to be honest. I didn’t read this book. And I absolutely hate when people give reviews on products they haven’t tried. Why not read it? Because I see this is an ongoing series, with the 15th (!!!!) book currently as a preorder. And at almost $3 for every book averaging around 100 pages, I am getting disappointed with authors giving us cliffhangers to drag out every penny out of our wallets.

This is the first of many parts of this story. It was choppy, uninteresting and repetitive. Really boring. It had no flow and most of the time made no sense.

The book was only 107 pages so the characters and story line wasn't very developed. The sex related parts were detailed. I'd read good reviews so I will read the next one and see if it improves. If not, I will be done with the series. This is a quick, brainless read.

OMG such a wonderful read. Helen's first walk into the paranormal was an excellent choice. Dante and Erin are such a wonderful couple. Dante is a vampire that was taken when he was 18. Erin is an ER nurse working the graveyard shift. They can stay away from each other since Erin meets him in the hospital blood bank. Erin doesn't know why she can't stay from Dante. The only thing is the cliffhanger at the end. I really need to know what happens next. I'm biting my nails to find out and get the next book.

BLOOD BOND SAGA Part 1 By Helen Hardt Helen Hardt has been one of my favorite authors since I found the Steel brothers. I know I can always count on a good read from her. This is no exception. I was really curious how she would go into this genre of book with vampires, flawlessly is how she did it! I have always liked vampire stories and enjoyed this one very much. I can already tell it will be a great book saga. This is the story of a vampire named Dante who is imprisoned for 10 years on the cusp of being an adult. When he finally is able to escape, he meets up with an ER night shift nurse by the name of Erin. They are drawn together in such a way that they do not understand. Not saying anymore at this point, I don't like to give spoilers away. Give it a try!

Blood Bond Saga Part 1 by Helen Hardt 4.5 Stars! I loved getting back to a good, tough, sexy, Vampire book! It’s well written, interesting, exciting, with great characters. This is the first time I’ve read this author’s work and I quite enjoyed this vampire short story. I’m looking forward to reading the rest of this series to see where it goes and what other species come about. This book contains adult content and includes frequent adult language and explicit and frank sex scene talk. Don't read this book if hot love scenes and adult language offend you. Happy Reading?? I've enjoyed paranormal romance in the past, but this book didn't do anything for me. I loved the Twilight series, but now, I would want more vampire nookie considering I was younger when I read them. My favorite paranormal romance to date is the Existence Trilogy by Abbi Glines. Although those books were paranormal, the writing and the creativity made it feel like vampires and death existed. With Dante, I didn't feel like that. This novella is a short read and can be read in an hour or two tops. I'd say it was more of an introduction instead of a story. The fall is, it was boring. Therefore I won't continue. However, I am glad I learned my lesson not to buy all the books in a series before finishing the first book. I finished this book quickly because it bored me and I skimmed. I'm not a fan of routine, and that's what this book seemed like. I think it would have been better to combine the novellas instead of breaking them into parts, and charging for them mainly because it's a dull start. No romance. No character connection. Dull storyline. 75% though and the characters are still rambling. ** I had only lived in New Orleans for a few years, but even in that short time, I’d come to realize it was a very special place. It's basically about what they want, and what they can't have. Phone conversations. Work. Family. And, a little information into the past to create a villain. The vampire feels felt too fictional, and I struggled with that aspect of the book. I like when fictional makes me believe, and this book didn't do that for me.

My Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ (3.5) Content Rating:18+ Genre: Paranormal/Vampire Romance Published:2018 Blood Bond: 1 does a reasonably good job of introducing the reader to the Blood Bond Saga Series and all the main characters. But, I felt that this book was more of a prologue. Looking at the subsequent books, I now realize this is a serial series. Blood Bond is the first book that I have read by Helen Hardt. Although it was easy to read, I did feel that the writing fell short, and there was a lot of repetition in the dialogue. The story was engaging and did keep me reading. Dante, our alluring, gorgeous vampire, has escaped after being held captive for ten years by a female vampire. Dante makes his way to a hospital blood bank where Erin, an ER nurse, catches him vandalizing the blood bank. Dante and Erin do have a certain amount of chemistry. Unfortunately, I felt that their attraction was rushed; I am not a huge fan of insta-love. Reader beware, this first part does end in a bit of a cliffhanger. I am planning on reading the next installment in this series. Unchained: Blood Bond: Volume 1 includes parts 1, 2, & 3. And as luck would have it is now free on Amazon. *** I kindly received this galley by way of NetGalley/publisher/author. I was not contacted, asked, or required to leave a review. I received no compensation, financial or otherwise. I have voluntarily read this book, and this review is my honest opinion. ***

I really like this Saga so far. Definetly have to have an interest in vampires but I love how its not overly mythical. The writing is great and I love the characters!! More Dante and Erin? Yes please!
