(Lone Wolf, Book 3)
Humans vs. shifters. Good vs. evil.
In Elisabeth Staab’s third book in the Lone Wolf series, lines blur and loyalties are put to the test:
Will Ash put blood before his human’s love? Will Kyle shun Jett’s newly found affection and return to the pack that nearly destroyed them both? Protecting Zoe could cost Lane everything, but he may be the only person who has the power to keep her safe.
Meanwhile, the blood moon looms over them all, transforming lovers into strangers and weakening those who gain their power when the moon is bright.

Very good it's just what I like
I couldn't wait to read the third book in this series particularly to learn about how Ash and Sherri as well as Zoe and Lane. It was well worth the wait and I found myself drawn into this fascinating world yet again. Sherri is frustrated while house hunting as each place Ash seems to find something wrong with it and she's starting to wonder if they will find a place of their own. She is also trying to find a job that involves more than keeping an eye on one person and feels she isn't fully pulling her weight. Ash on the other hand is looking to find a place that isn't around a bunch of people and worries about Sherri getting a job that would be just as dangerous as her last one. He's having problems with his hand which hasn't healed right from their last big fight in the last book and seeks out the help of his father in the hopes of working through it. He keeps this from Sherri though as he wants to protect her but it backfires and she is understandably upset. Unable to find a place that Ash can be comfortable with and struggling to find a job on top of finding out Ash has been in contact with his father again and she wonders if their relationship is going to make it. Zoe and Lane on the other hand are slowly getting more comfortable with each other though Zoe is hesitant due to past bad experiences. She can't keep to help her attraction to Lane who is fully human while she is a crossbreed but she's unsure as to how it may work out. Lane does his best to provide for her and reassure her that he wants only what's best for her while not wanting to push her into anything she's uncomfortable with knowing she had a rough time with her previous mate. I love how patient Lane is and that he understands despite his growing attraction to her, that it's up to her as to where their relationship may go. I found this book hard to put down and I really enjoyed getting to know the characters again. It was a great mix of laughter, action, romance, everyday life and shifter politics. I liked the twist with the Blood Moon and how it makes wolves at their weakest. Being weak drives Ash crazy particularly at the thought of possibly not being able to protect his mate though he knows that Sherri can take care of herself with the human variety. The addition of an agency that deals with the supernatural was a fascinating concept and I'd really like to see them more in action. I really hope that there will be more books in this series and would love to see future books based on Sherri and Ash's someday kids as both would make great parents. I can't wait to see what Elisabeth has up her sleeve next!
This book was great! Everything that has been building in the first two books comes together in the most explosive and exciting way. I never saw it coming! I was so engrossed with the different characters and their different plights that the surprises really caught me off guard. Everything happens fast, so things are constantly moving. It is interesting that everything is happening during the blood moon, when the wolves are at their weakest. It gives a new and refreshing perspective on the wolves and their special abilities. The new government agency definitely adds a new twist to the series too. I really hope to see more of these characters. They are a very tight-knit group full of loyalty and passion. I'm not ready to let them go, and there are so many possibilities for this great series! I received this book in exchange for an honest review.
