FIVE STARS! Blow Softly is the first book in the series of the Red Light: Silver Girls. It can be read as a standalone. This is a very unconventional love story between a prostitute (Madison) and an ex-con (Bear) that’s part of the Moroad Motor Cycle Club in Federal, Idaho. But this is not a motor cycle club book; however, Moroad is featured in the book, and Moroad characters are involved, but not the main focus. What makes this story unique? Blow Softly is a story of the days in the life of a prostitute (Madison) that works for the Network and they have 3-month rotations between bordellos. There are strict rules and regulations, especially regarding no outside contact with people except for paying customers. Madison, is also mute. She can hear, she just can’t speak, as her voice box was damaged and you will find out more in the book how that happens. You are in Madison’s head as she is working with her customers, so you feel there is no emotion in the sex she provides. She is there as a just a vessel. She questions herself if she will ever be able to have a normal relationship. Then one night she hears a man whistling from her balcony and it all changes. Bear is just as his name implies, a big man with a big chest to hold his big heart. He is an ex-con Moroad biker and I fell in love with him! This tough biker with such a tender side, I could just melt. But he is no pushover and he definitely has a dangerous angry side. The way Debra told the story of how their relationship unfolds is beautiful, and the back-story that made me angry, sad and frustrated for them. Those emotions put me on a roller coaster ride. I laughed; I felt intense longing and tenderness between characters and the self acceptance that had to happen to make them feel deserving of each other’s love. Dear Readers, give this book a chance. Go in with no preconceived ideas; go in with an open mind and an open heart. You will fall in love with the characters and with the story. You won't regret it! Debra this book is amazing! It is your best work yet! Thank you for a great book and I can’t wait for the other books in this series. ARC provided by the author for an honest review.

Debra Kayn has a way to tell a story that keeps me captivated. I've enjoyed her previous series that revolved around the Moroad Motorcycle Club. It was different from other MC series, and I quickly became addicted to her writing. But when she decided to steer away from the MC into a new series about the prostitutes in the bordello finding love - well, I wasn't so sure. OMG! Debra has blown me away! Madison is mute. She can hear but she can't speak, which makes her very popular. She never gave her life much thought until she hears a stranger standing in the alley whistling. Whistling - she could do that, it didn't require her to use her voice box. So she seeks out the stranger and asks him to teach her. Bear (I'm in love and swooning right now) is not the typical nice guy. He's a member of the Moroad MC (yes, that MC) and he's been in and out of prison more times than not, but when he catches a glimpse of Madison's smile, he goes to the alley hoping to see her again. When she "asks" him to teach her to whistle - well, he's not going to say no. I loved the interaction between these two characters. Because she can't speak and Bear doesn't know sign language, they rely on her texting him messages. The patience they show when "speaking" to each other is beautiful; but it's the understanding and neither judging the other for their past or present. They didn't try to change each other but they made each other want to be better, which is the best way to change. Debra won me over with this story. It was beautiful, respectful, and full of love and understand. Blow Softly is not an MC book, and it is not a prostitute book. It is a book about two lonely souls never expecting to find their one and only. 5 emotional stars!

When I first finished this I couldn't believe that it was over I was shocked that it was. I couldn't get my head to wrap around what I had just read like at all. Once again I was knocked down with the writing from this amazing author. If you haven't read any of her work I suggest you do. This is a 2 person POV story, it made for a very interesting read; the one main character was mute it was very different to read that's for sure. I enjoyed my time it took me to read this story although it wasn't very long at all to read it cover to cover in fact only one day. MUST READ for sure. I can't wait to see what the next one holds. Super excited I was able to read this story by Debra and I enjoyed it the most I think. I'm craving more and having one hell of a book hangover and it's worth every word on the pages this story holds. If I was told this story was going to be this amazing I might not have believed anyone but, having read this authors work before I can honestly say it's great, and I want more!!! Of course this wont be my last time reading anything by Debra. ***I received this story for free in exchange for an honest review, see more of my review @ ***
