I literally just finished this book and I wanted to tell somebody about it. This book is worth buying simply because it makes you feel like going to the beach is better for you than just about anything. But it also is crucial for our time. Wallace J. Nichols - who knows more about the science of how water affects us than, I would guess, anyone else alive - shows how important water is to our wellbeing on every level, and therefore why we need to care for our lakes, rivers, oceans and streams as if we're caring for all of humanity.
