Great story with real, likeable characters....kept the mystery till the end, no trashy language or overly-descriptive sex scenes. Loved it!

Have been waiting for long time for follow up to Ice Blue. Very enjoyable read and recommend this new series. Agatha Christie or PD James need not worry; these books are not up to that standard but a fun read never the lessI look forward to more in this series . tThere are laugh out loud parts of the novel and the characters are people you would like to know. Please keep writing this series.

Agatha Christie is my favorite author and no one else has ever come close. Emma Jameson could change that! Her style is very different, but no extra dialogue or 'fluff' to fill up pages. Just when I was really wanting more information about the characters, it pops up at a very appropriate time. The information fits seamlessly into the story, makes sense and makes the characters more believable. Only negative, wish there were more books in this series!!

Blue-bloods with a lot of dirty laundry that gets exposed during the course of a double murder investigation. Great mystery and some action. Character development is decent, though the romance is rather subdued. That's the British angle I suppose.

I loved it. The storyline, the ever so sauve characters and the excitment in the novel was thrilling. I read it in 3 days. Outstanding!

A mystery with romance....fascinating characters. Clearly Britain has way more social services than the US. Anyone with two dependants one of whom has special needs would be bankrupt and poverty stricken here. Sister in the institution would be homeless and on the street. Reminds me of inspector Lynley mysteries a bit, but more immediate and less depressing. Thank you Emma Jameson.

This 600 page book is rather fascinating. THere is a Halloween party puton in London by Emma which has two young men end up dead with hatchets in their heads. Lord Hethridge is 60 but seems more youthful than that as he sets out to solve this mystery. It MIGHT be too long for a book group to consider discussing.

What I love about this series is the banter that goes on between the characters. It is funny and true feeling, full of innuendo and sarcasm, just like real life.

This series is very enjoyable and I adore the characters! My only complaint is the last page of each chapter was cut off. I adjusted my font and turned my Nook for the landscape view and still had no idea what the last line may have been. But I will buy the next one and the next one, etc. I just hope the formatting is correct in the rest of the series!

I enjoyed both books. Sometimes I have a problem with the British slang and my Nook skipped almost every chapter ending. That hindered the flow of the book.

Emma Jameson spins another engaging and entertaining mystery. The murderer is no match for Tony and Kate. They are a perfect pair, professionally and romantically. I'm so delighted I discovered this wonderful series.

I thought the book was well-written. The relationship between Lord Hetheridge and the woman who will soon be his wife is well done. This is a police procedural with two bodies left over from a Halloween party gone wrong. The party takes place in a fashionable house in London. The tension between the characters creates a believable scenario both between the police officers, the suspects and their parents, and the parents between each other. It doesn't help that the one criminal Hetheridge has never been able to catch lives next door. Enjoyed the read. I would read more books by this author.
