Independent Reviewer for Archaeolibrarian - I Dig Good Books! Oh my goodness, the emotions in this story are intense! The feelings that come from those emotions are even deeper. This story is written so beautifully it will stay with you even after your done! The opening scene is extremely intense. It's dark, emotional, and tragic. It sets a tone for the story internally, just waiting for the other shoe to drop as they say. It grabs your attention and has a hold that won't release and sucks you in to a beautifully tragic story. Oh how I adore these characters! The banter that takes place is fun and fresh. The friendships that unfold are heartwarming. The love that blossoms is a once in a lifetime type of love. There are so many emotionally heavy spots in this story that I can't imagine reading this story and not getting a little choked up. The author does such a great job with details and descriptions in this story. There was never a moment I didn't fully comprehend what was being written. The scenery and actions were easy to visualize in my mind. The story dripped with such emotion and it was written so well that it kind of surrounds you and burrows deep within your soul. This book was nothing short of amazing. It was a quick read as it's a novella but a beautifully tragic read none the less. It's worth every second you'll spend reading it! Give it a shot, you won't know what you're missing until you do!!!! * A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book, and my comments here are my honest opinion. *

Okay, so first off, if you follow my reviews, you know that even really good novellas usually only get 4-stars as I am usually left with 'something' that I still need from the story. NOT SO with Blue Waters. This novella is simply outstanding, especially when you consider that I honestly thought I wouldn't like it! Let me explain... Our main characters in this are Link and Whit to begin with. The story starts with Whitney telling you how much money she and Link have, and how everyone thinks they are so privileged. This was the bit where I eye-rolled. Nevertheless, I carried on because I have read more than on of India R. Adams' books and know that they are usually wonderful. And so this turned out to be! Whit and Link have an amazing friendship, being there for each other through everything - well, most things. Whit isn't up herself enough to not apologise when she knows she is in the wrong, so that went down brilliantly! A night at the cinema changes things, both for the story, and for Link and Whit. She meets a guy called Crash who will change her life forever. There is so much to this story, it hardly seems right to class it as a novella, but it is. Twists, turns, layer upon layer of intrigue, drama, heartbreak, kidnap, death. Jeez, it takes my breath away just thinking about it. This story sucker-punched me right in the feels at the end, and the best of it is, I didn't mind one bit. Hopefully I've said enough to intrigue you without giving anything away. Exceptionally well written, with no editing or grammatical errors to disrupt the reading flow, this book will keep you completely engrossed. Highly recommended by me. She is a dynamo of energy, attitude and fun! Silly, often snarky, Whitney’s world revolves around her love of dancing and finding ways to not feel the absolute loneliness she feels behind the closed doors of her wealthy parents’ home. Jet Setters, rarely home, cold and distant, Whitney’s parents never seemed to feel anything, even when her brother died from a drug overdose. As long as she could dance and spend times with her best friend, she was good, she had a future and she lived for it. Who knew a bottle of water and a box of greasy popcorn at the movies would be the catalyst that would change her life forever? There he was, all dark and handsome, flirty and with an air of confidence that few possess. Like two magnets, Whit and Crash found what was missing in their lives, someone to love, no strings attached, so shouldn’t her best friend be happy for her or at least tell her why? What Whitney discovers will wrench her heart from its moorings in her chest and put her in the gravest danger of her life. Crash is not just the young man she loves, he is the enemy and his love could become a never-ending nightmare for anyone Whitney cares about. Talk about intrigue! Blue Waters by India R. Adams sets the stage for a taut emotional thrill ride with characters that come to life, enjoy the joys of youth and are forced into the adult world of pain and loss, all in very few pages! That is creative talent and Ms. Adams is now heading to the top of my Hidden Gem pile because she never missed a beat, made me believe I was in the story and part of every page. You want a quick read that will leave the same lasting impression as a longer tome? Looking for something to bite into that will have you drooling to read more? Take a look at Blue Waters, it will reel you in, hook, line and sinker. I received this copy from India R. Adams in exchange for my honest review.

Riveting and intriguing short story. Very emotional with some hope.

Good story. I was easily pulled in and liked the characters. I even found myself teary-eyed a couple of times. However, the book did not wrap up very well. It just kind of stopped in a scene. A lot of questions still remain and I would have liked a bit more on the parents and Link. Cannot wait to read the next one in the series!

Wow, just wow. Blue Waters is one of those books that while it looked intriguing it just turned into way more than I was expecting when I picked it up. The writing is somewhat on the poetic side, the characters were just so likable and the plot went from fun to completely intense in the blink of an eye. I started off the story laughing but by the end was on the edge of my seat.
