Bravey: Chasing Dreams, Befriending Pain, and Other Big Ideas
While this looks like a sports book or a book about running, Alexi Pappas has an intriguing and inspirational story to tell. As a four-year old, Pappas's mother committed suicide. To help with her grief, her dad gets her to play sports. She, then, develops a love for distance running. All the while, Pappas is a creative person who writes and aspires to be a filmmaker. Fast forward to 2016 and she competes in the Olympics for Greece, writes for a variety of publications and co-wrote and starred in a documentary about the Olympics. Ultimately, a book about never giving up on your dreams.
