I kept thinking that Jason was somehow involved in the troubles that were followed Ceci once she boarded the yacht. Loved the kids. Brett what's not to love. Lots of suspense, hated that the children were drugged, and caught up in gun fire. Highly recommend this author and this series. Can't wait to read the next book about Devlin. Mjw

This was an incredible action-packed romantic suspense. Navy SEAL Brett Chapman gets a call from his mother telling him that some of his extended family are on a yacht that is in trouble. When he gets there, he finds out it has been taken over by pirates. What a surprise to find his ex-girlfriend, Cici, and her children are on board, too. After a gun battle, the yacht and passengers go on their way but Cici refuses to go with them. She just wants to go home. Since the pirates took her passport, Cici was stuck at the US Embassy waiting for a new one. More drama happens there. Thank goodness Brett had gone to check on her. Even though Brett didn’t know why Cici left him years ago, he still had strong feelings for her. Now that she was single again, does he have a chance with her? I loved this story with all the twists and turns in the plot. This was a riveting suspense with a strong SEAL team saving the day. They made it look easy but it wasn’t all that easy taking back the ship from the pirates. Brett was a great guy. I really admired his skill at his job and liked how sensitive he was to Cici and her children. I didn't like Ceci very much though. She was totally devoted to her kids otherwise a pretty weak person. The romance was so emotional that it had me rooting for them. I appreciate getting a copy of this book to read and review because I love Dale Mayer’s writing. She writes edge-of-your-seat suspense with hunky SEALs like nobody else.

I did not read the other books in this specific series, but that doesn't matter. It's great as a standalone. Dale Mayer knows how to write a great book. It grabs your attention from the first page and keeps you glued right to the last word. Poor Ceci, this was really a matter of being in the wrong place at the wrong time... twice. Her first holiday in what seems like forever and it just had to be her ship that the pirates target. Luckily Brett and his team comes to the rescue. Lots of action and very tense moments intertwined with chemistry flaring up again between Ceci and Brett, makes this a riveting read. Highly recommended for all who loves men in uniform and romantic suspense. Thank you to the publisher for providing me with a copy of the book to read and review.

**ARC RECEIVED IN EXCHANGE FOR AN HONEST REVIEW** Good read. Engaging right from the beginning. Though its tiresome at times that for some reason all the females in this series tend to attract trouble all the time and the killer tries multiple times to kidnap, maim or kill them, they are always filled with intrigue and political scandal. So usually a page turner. On the romance front, pretty standard stuff, old lovers get reunited under dire and unfortunate circumstances, past hurts are brought up as is self doubt about starting over again or picking up where they left off, but then all is forgiven and...viola...HEA!

What a ride full of surprises and suspense This was a great read full of danger, mystery and suspense. Brett is on a mission with his team when he gets a call from his mother that some of the family is in danger can he go check it out. On getting to the yacht he finds it has been taken over and his ex is aboard with her young children. Gun fire breaks out many are taken down. There are some intense scene with Ceci and her children will they make it out alive. Just when you think things can’t get in worse they do. This is a fast action packed romance that keeps you guessing and jumping. There are a few minutes throughout that your heart beats fast wondering how things can get worse. Their break wasn’t the best and her rebound marriage was good but was lacking. Now with Brett back in her life the past is relived with feeling going deep. I really like the twist and turns the author gives you. The characters are great you can feel the emotion coming off the page with each turn of events. I thought this was a very believable story that really held your attention from start to finish. I really like her kids they were just so sweet just trying to be normal kids with a mother that is on an emotional downward spiral in more ways than one. Brett was so kind and caring giving her the room she needed but pushing her when he had to, to keep her and the children alive. I have not read any other books by this author or this series but I didn’t feel lost at all. Everything is explained very well with a story I couldn’t put down. I am looking forward to reading more from this author.

Brett by Dale Mayer SEALs of Honor Series Book Eleven Brett Chapman was on a mission. Pirates had taken over a yacht. When a cabin door opens for him to enter...he finds someone from his past inside. One mission accomplished but an unexpected one starts up. Ceci was just going to have a nice break from life, a vacation on a yacht with her two young children. Somehow things go from bad to worse. Thank goodness, Brett is there to protect them. Unfortunately, it brings memories of her past decisions gone wrong. The men on this SEAL team keep finding women they want to keep. Mostly after they have rescued them from danger. I like how many of the characters from the previous books are included in each story. And this book had a couple new unique characters. Great series. **Sensual content and language

This is the first book I read by Dale Mayer and I have to say, Ms Mayer is an author I will continue to follow. This book is the 11th book of her series titled Seals of Honor, and is definitely a stand alone. The main characters are Brett a Navy Seal and Ceci, an ex-girlfriend that broke his heart when she left him . They meet again when he is part of the team that rescues hostages on a yacht off the coast of Africa in which she is one of the guests. Ceci is now a widow with two small children. The plot is interesting and engaging. Brett is an alpha male with a big heart . Ceci is dedicated to her children and has kept secrets as to why she left Brett. The children are adorable and make the story more real. The book is filled with action, suspense, bad guys, hunky Seals, interesting secondary characters and romance. What’s not to like !?! I am looking forward to more stories in this series and going back to check the previous ones. I was gifted this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

This is Brett and Ceci's story. I admit, I never really noticed or wondered about Brett in previous books. His book has turned out to be one of the most on the edge of your seat stories yet. The addition of kids into the mission adds a new layer of complication to the suspense we have come to expect from this series. It amps up the storyline. Another great read in the SEALs of Honor series!

How can you possibly keep your children safe if everything that can go wrong does? Why a Seal of course! It doesn't hurt that he's an old flame. Until he finds out the secret you kept from him. Now I have to wait until May for Devlin. Say it isn't so!
