Broken doesn't mean destroyed. Women have battled with low self-esteem, insecurities, physically and mentally abusive relationships, being haters of ourselves and other women--yet we managed to survive. We have done some downright silly stuff as we looked for love in all the wrong places. We put our safety in jeopardy and our bodies in harm's way. We compromised our integrity, and even hurt some people along the way. Yet, those actions don't define who we are today or who we are striving to become.

Reading Broken Whole is like girl talk with your best girlfriends. It's straight talk about giving up the goodies for less than the price of a chicken wing dinner, being gold diggers, a scorned mate or the other woman, handling success, and so much more. There is no finger pointing, because we all are guilty of having been there and done some or all of that! These things could have essentially destroyed us but it only made us better. Every woman who has been broken deserves to be made whole!

This book discusses failed relationships, missed opportunities, baby-mama drama, self-love, forgiveness, finances, sister-love, marriage, fathers and daughters, and many other topics.

Broken Whole is for every woman who wants to be motivated, entertained and empowered! Reading Broken Whole will make you laugh, and it will have you thinking. This book will have you saying, "no she didn't!"

Broken Whole is a great addition to any cocktail table, it is a conversation starter and all women can relate to some of the experiences shared in this book. Prepare for many hours of great conversations with your friends. So pull up a comfortable chair and let's talk.

About the Author

Born and raised on the Southside of Chicago. Marty discovered writing at an early age by writing short stories and entering contests. She attended Northern Illinois University. It was at this institution she would discover her gift and passion for writing through mentor and Professor John Bradley. It was Professor Bradley who encouraged Marty to submit two short stories that were published in Contemporary Voices. From that point on Marty had been bitten by the writing bug and was determined to publish. She later went on to receive her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Northern Illinois University, her Master's degree in Organizational Management from University of Phoenix and her Paralegal Certificate from Roosevelt University. Marty enjoys writing and her dream career would involve: creating cards for Hallmark; writing songs for artists; speech-writing and writing for playwrights including Tyler Perry and Mara Brock Akil. Marty hopes to promote positive relationships between women through her writing. Her goal is to help heal women's self-esteem one book at a time. Marty believes the biggest injustice a woman can commit is not recognizing her full potential. Broken Whole is Marty's first in a series of published works to follow.
