About the Author

A big believer in happily ever afters, Jen Doyle decided it was high time she started creating some. CALLING IT, the first book in her baseball/contemporary romance/romantic comedy series of the same name, has been winning awards since its inception, the most recent being the 2017 Best Banter Contest. She also writes the acclaimed HANSONS OF ST. HELENA series of novellas in the St. Helena Vineyard Kindle World and the epic urban fantasy BUTTERFLY OPS.

Jen has an M.S. in Library and Information Science and, in addition to her work as a librarian, has worked as a conference and events planner as well as a Communications and Enrollment administrator in both preschool and higher education environments (although some might say that there is very little difference between the two; Jen has no comment regarding whether she is one of the “some”). She is a member of the Romance Writers of America and is represented by Sarah E. Younger of the Nancy Yost Literary Agency.

Lyndsay and Ian had a break up that neither could really figure out totally what happened. That was 15 years ago and she thought he had died in the line of duty. Imagine her surprise when she stumbles upon the ghost of her past. Ian and Lyn have chemistry still but can all the baggage from their past allow them to see if they have a future. This was my first Jen Doyle book and I am looking forward to reading #2. The author gives us paranormal, military and romance all thrown into to one. I wasn't sure about Lyndsay at first she had to grow on me a bit. Once I got more of her back story I really started liking her. She has had a tough life and has managed to rise above it all. I love a tough woman who can hold her own in the world. I really started to enjoy getting to know Matt and his family as well and hope to see more of them in book 2. Fun, steamy read.
