Overview

How hot can an alien dragon-shifter be? His little human captive is about to find out--if he can catch her! Cara Truman is a pint-size pistol whose inquisitive nature has gotten her into trouble on more than one occasion. Her next adventure takes her farther than she ever expected when she ends up on a journey out of this world.

Trelon Reykill thought he had his hands full. A militant group of Curizans had captured his brother Zoran, and he was busy trying to fortify the Valdier defenses against the Sarafin Warriors, even as his dragon was roaring for him to find a mate. He was furious about the first, excited about the second, and pissed about the last. The last thing he expected to find on the primitive planet his brother has taken refuge on was his true mate.

Now, he has a whole new set of problems... capturing Cara long enough to make her his. His symbiot loves her, his dragon wants her, and he can't catch her. On top of all that, someone is trying to kill her.

His solution: Capture Cara and love her so well she will never want to escape him--if he can.

New York Times (Twin Dragons and Dagger's Hope) and 14 time USA TODAY Bestselling author of Science Fiction, Urban Fantasy, and Paranormal Romance brings another action, adventure, and suspense-filled story to transport readers out of this world.

I am really loving the Dragon Lords of Valdier series. This is one of my favorties. Cara is hysterical. All her antics combined with being ADHD. I was cracking up threw most of the book. Only issues were some grammatical errors.

It was a great story, with funny, steamy and lots of action. Cara is a bubbly, non stop, loads of fun and energy that makes you tired just reading about her. I would read all the books in order all the first 4 bks are at least 550/600+ nook pages. The 5th 211 and 6th 224. This story follows from one book to another and with little repeat of info. Get the series you won't be disappointed!!

The first love seen in this book was really rushed. Plus the color of the dragon is ugly. I understand why she turned that color though.

Great things do come in small packages.

Poor Trelon, he will never sleep again. Cara has more energy than a thousand bouncy balls. She will not be contained. I'm on to Tracking Trisha. Nikki Mann

I simply can’t get enough of this series! Smith blasts readers off of earth with the same flash, flare and energy that we’ve come to know and love her for. This action packed novel balances romance with adventure in a manner that kept me on my toes. I like how the plot backtracks a bit from where the previous novel ended, giving us Cara’s view of how things started and taking off from there. The plot was seamlessly crafted, always headed towards an end goal without ever being predictable. Cara is completely, perfectly, over the top priceless. I love the way that Smith introduces readers to and develops Cara’s character. I could feel her energy pouring from the pages. Trelon’s frustration and adoration shine along with it. The culture clash between these two does as much to develop their characters as Smith’s fantastically intricate character development does. Exotic & erotic. That’s how I’d definitely describe this novel. Smith takes SciFi romance to a whole new galaxy with this one.

I really enjoy this series and have just purchased the next book. I characters are fun and the plot is interesting. The hero and heroine can both be annoying at times, but overall the book is a very nice way to spend the afternoon.
