I did not see this coming.... I love how book 2 picked right up where we left off without missing a beat.... Chase has rescued Ali and they are off to California only to have him disappear.. and then Ali gets the phone call that will change everything... What does this mean, what will happen next... who can she trust and what has happened before that she has no idea about... And of course this ends in another cliffy but not just any cliffy a BIG cliffy.. I cannot wait for book 3 to see what happened with Chase and if there is a happy ending around the corner

I am addicted to this intriguing story... Favorite Quotes: “‘I didn’t know the human voice could hit a range that high,’ he whispers to me.  ‘Please tell me it doesn’t run in the family.’” “We’re a normal family.  At least, we were until our stepfather killed our mother and sold off your virginity.” “I could spend the next eighty years memorizing the lines of his face.” “I’d be willing to give up everything I know if it means being with you.  You’re the only place I want to be.” “I’m really not sure what I’m supposed to say or not say, but my mind has turned into ten thousand snakes, all hissing in my head.”    My Review: Meli Raine’s second book - Chasing Allie is still straddling that divide between YA and NA and brings even more intrigue and suspense than Book 1.  Allie is young, naïve, and either just lacks curiosity or is rather stupid.  She seems to do whatever others direct her to do, whether that is her stepfather, friends, police, sister, or boyfriend.  She may resent the authority, but she doesn’t rebel or give it much consideration.  She doesn’t have much awareness of her surroundings or think ahead, is easily confused and overwhelmed, doesn’t see or look much past her own nose, or even think much past the day she is in.  Yet her life has become such an adventure and her home and family held many secrets.  She frustrates me… yet I care for her.  I am hooked, ensnared, and hopelessly addicted to this story.

Wow wow wow...I was warned that this book ended with a huge cliffhanger and boy does it! It certainly was not what I expected... in this second book a lot happens...Chase and Allie get closer, he takes her to see the ocean to an amusement park (doing things she could not has a child) and oh yes we have some touching but steamy scenes between Chase and Allie. Chase is her knight in shining armor, her hero. her love..we meet her sister Marissa who immediately fights with Chase and she feels that the two people that mean the most to her do not like each other something she doesn't want. Things happen and Allie has to return "home" a place she never wanted to ever see again the return is just as hard for her sister who hasn't been home since before their mother died.. What they discover upon returning home just added to the cliffhanger. When finishing this book today the first thing out of my mouth was no no no this can not be happening! I can not wait to read the third book in this series I need to find out what happens next! Thank you Meli Raine giving me the opportunity to read an ARC of this book.

Wow. With the way this one ends, I'm really looking foward to reading the last book. The ending just really blew me away. I just hope that it really isn't Chase but maybe his half-brother. If it is Chase, then I'm hoping he is part of some kind of undercover work to bring down the drug ring. Since Alli and Marissa were able to find Jeff's stashes everywhere, either the cops did not do a good job of investigating, or everything was planted to make them look guilty. I think that Alli still has some growing up to do but hopefully with what happens at the end of the book will help open her eyes some.

I was allowed to read and ARC for an honest review. I loved book 1 and couldn't wait to read this one. Read both in one day. His one was even better than the first. Enjoyed having Allie's sister in this book. The story keeps getting more and more interesting and intruiging as it goes! And then the ending! Holy cow what a cliffhanger! Sure didn't see that coming! So ready for book 3!

Holy Smokes This just got interesting! This was really good. Glad I stuck with this series though the cliff hanger is killing me. Come on book 3. I received this as an arc copy and so glad I did.

This is book 2 of the three part series Breaking Away. When Chase finds out what Jeff has in store for Allie, he takes her to L.A. and away from Jeff. When they get to L.A. he takes her to the ocean. Allie has never seen the ocean and her emotions of the experience is all over the place. Chase takes her to her sister Marissa where they will stay until the can figure what to do next. When Allie wakes alone the next morning, she can't believe that Chase has left her and with a note that doesn't explain anything. When Marissa gets a call from back home, it is the police and they want Allie to come back home for questioning. Turns out the police want to question her about a death and Allie turns out to be a suspect. This story is full of suspense and hope. Hope that Chase and Allie with get their happily ever after. I think Allie needs to stop listening to the voices in her head and follow her heart. Her thinking seems to be scattered all over the place. Hang on for the cliffhanger ending. I am enjoying this series and can't wait to start Keeping Allie, book 3. **Copy provided by the author in exchange for my honest review**

Chasing Allie, the second book in the Breaking Away series is an amazing story that grabs you from the very beginning and doesn't let you go until you've read the last page and even then you are wanting more. Intense, addictive, emotional, heartbreaking, and captivating with some twists you don't see coming, Chasing Allie will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Chasing Allie (Breaking Away Series #2) by Meli Raine   ** I received an ARC from the Author in exchange for my honest review **  Book two picks right up where book one left off.  I was quickly pulled off the  cliff and thrown into a riveting story full of passion, treachery, love, suspense  and so much more.  I could not turn the pages fast enough to find out what  was happening with Cythase and Allie.  This book was both heartwarming  and heartbreaking.  Book two closes with a doozy of a cliffhanger. I cannot  wait for book three.

This picks up right where Finding Allie left off.  I can't say much about this book without giving away some big spoilers but I will say it was a roller coaster ride that I was glad I took even though we are left with one heck of a cliff hanger! Some minor spoilers: *Allie see the ocean *Allie meets her sister's roommate and he is one interesting guy! *A phone call from the police that Allie will never forget *Allie and Chase make some memories in LA
