What does the phrase mean, Cherish Every Moment?

Is it merely magical thinking, a simple trust in the unknown God who rules our lives, hopefully with kindness? How will ordinary people survive the challenges of today’s real world of war, civil unrest and terrorism? How do you cherish every moment while struggling with serious crises such as unemployment, divorce, homelessness, mind-numbing illness, or the death of a loved one?

When bad things happen to good people, our first thought may very well be, “O God! Help Me!” We know, deep in our anguished hearts, that only God has the answer to our deepest fears. CHERISH EVERY MOMENT is God’s whisper in the ear of every frightened believer. It is meant as a gentle reminder to pause along our life’s journey and give thanks for those moments when God is revealed in various, surprising ways.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Cecile R. Bauer and her husband Dave raised their family of ten children on a very limited budget. “But we always felt rich, blessed by God with love and laughter.” A writer since the age of eleven, Cecile’s articles and short stories have been published in numerous newspapers and magazines from California to New York. What began as a means of supplementing the family budget, the short, humorous stories of family life brought laughter and acceptance from editors coast to coast. After Dave took early retirement, the couple moved from Western New York to California. There, Cecile volunteered her writing skills at Senior Gleaners, Inc., a non—profit food bank. As Grant Coordinator, she raised more than a half-million dollars for the Baby Food Program which helped low income parents feed their children. While in California, Cecile began writing books. Her first four books were published during the nine years they lived on the West Coast. In 1995, the couple moved back to their Pennsylvania roots, building a house in the woods of Dave’s childhood. During July, a huge family reunion hosts many of their ten adult children, seventeen grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren. The family motto: “TRUST GOD, LAUGH EVERY DAY"
