As a rural resident and chicken owner, I enjoyed the whimsy and insight of Janice Cole in this book. Her creative chicken care and delicious recipes are delightful. I recommend this book to novice or wanna-be chicken owners as well as to the creative cooks who are looking for new kitchen creations.
The stories of raising chickens are delightful; the recipes are delicious and the photography is beautiful. This book is a perfect blend of a memoir and a a cookbook. Furthermore, it is much too pretty to be stored on a shelf, but should be out on table for others to enjoy!
